Not a silly question at all. Welcome to the Forums :)
The eGo batteries are made sealed and non-repairable. You have to buy a new one. You can drop the old one into the battery recycle bin at Home Depot or wherever.. Trying to take one apart can lead to injury, battery fire, short.. so I do not recommend that for majority of vapers. You should always have at least 2 working batteries at hand. The lifespan of these batteries is less than average due to the way they are used with low resistance

Heyas Cat,

Almost all ecig batteries are rechargeable unless the ecig itself is a disposable, to the best of my knowledge. If you bought a starter kit, I'd think it came with a charger. So when it runs out, just recharge it. If it wears out, you'll need a new one. Most ecigs, except mods, come with a custom battery that you can't just buy at radio shak or whatnot, so you'll have to go back to the store you bought your ecig from or another such store, or buy it online. Online is a much better option, imo.

You mentioned ego-t batts in your heading. If you have an ego-t, the batteries are definately rechargeable.

Hope this helps!

I know this is probably a silly question, but here goes anyways.
When my batteries run out on e-cigarette, how do I replace them?
Do I buy a new battery from the company I bought the e-cig from
or do I buy one in a regular store.

You have the option of purchasing something like the NoEgo or the E-power that takes stock Li-Ion batteries. You won't find them at a typical store, but they are common at places like Batteries Plus (14500/18650), and flashlight shops.

The Ego-T is rechargeable, but not replaceable. But to be fair one battery should last 300 charge cycles which should represent a year of use for most users. Expect about $20/year for batteries. Expect ~$5/year on models that take the 14500/14650/16340/18350. Expect ~$5 every 2 years on a 18650.
