I have been using two efest 1600mah imr18650 3.7v batteries in rotation. I am wondering how long they are supposed to last? (not number of charges but time vaping)(300 charges is the given I think)

I am on my third rotation of the day (one batt once the other batt twice). (these as supposedly rated at 30 ams)

I am wondering if this is normal battery life? should I get more batteries? if it safe to rotate two batteries like that?

(I also have two off brand, one mid quality, one low quality battery) should I use these two at all? (CGR18650CG Li-MH12210 (B&M told me its rated at 20amps), and stock batt that game with mod kit)

I generally vape all day, and twice as much if i am drinking. I am using a 0.5ohm total dual coil (about average for me)

This is prob all over ECF so i apologize. also i dont mean to overstate things, just trying to give all the info i can! :)

Thanks,
Curious vaper

For an all-day vaper and sub-ohm at that, it does sound about right. I'm an all-day vaper but use a 2.2 ohm coil and still manage to chew through about 2,000 mAh per day. Where I draw 2 amps or less most of the time, you're drawing 7 to 8.

While it's not technically an issue to use a freshly charged battery, nor to use one more than once a day, it is a bit safer to allow batteries to relax for some hours after charging. Fresh off the charger they're in an excited state, and during charging and while relaxing is when they're most likely to do something nasty (this is true of all rechargeable batteries).

So it's smart to have enough batteries that you can let them sit for 3-4 hours before use. Overnight would be better.

Battery life is circa 300 charges, give or take, at which point battery capacity starts to drop noticeably. My oldest battery is somewhere between 700 and 900 charges, and battery life is way down. It's still perfectly usable, it just doesn't last very long, which adds another charge faster, which reduces battery life further. It'll be dead by April, I'll have a nice funeral for it, and that's that.

That one sits by my computer so I can switch off easily.
