hey guys I'm still browsing for batteries for my sigelei mech mod.I'm using a tobh atty driptank & taifun gt.

Much regrets buying myself efest 18650 3400mah protected circuit batteries, along with a vendor who sold me the whole vape kit telling me it was ok to use those batteries and just taught me to coil the atty without even advising on ohms and safety[emoji19] well at least he was right abt the nitecore intellicharger tho.luckily joined this community and learned a thing or two abt ohms law and safety.

after much research and advices from this helpful forum, high drain/unprotected circuit batteries are better for mods I believe?[emoji46]

So now I'm down to 2 choice of batteries:

A)Panasonic NCR18650PF high drain rechargeable Li-ion batteries. (3.6 volts). 2900mAH..10amps unprotected circuit

B).Sony US18650VTC5 high drain rechargeable Li-ion battery. (3.6 volts). 2600mAh..30amps unprotected circuit

Both batteries are flat top, they come with With .Rare Earth Neodymium.Super Magnet .Disc(D6*3mm) to adapt like a button top.is this useful btw?

So should I get the 10amp battery?or should I get 30amp?or should I just get both ?

It really just depends on what you're looking for... If you were going to do builds that had no more than 5 or 6 amps draw on them, then yeah, the Panasonic would be fine... Yes you can push it, but it's always best to leave a little padding... the batteries will last longer that way... On the other hand if you're going to do sub-ohm builds, then definitely go for the VTC... Considering you have a tobh, I'd go for the sony... Even a .5 build is going to pull more than I'd want on the panasonic... Keeping safety in mind of course.

If you are doing rebuildables (You said you're building on a Tobh and Taifun) I would recommend the Sony 30A batteries! It's the safe bet. Works well for sub-ohm and non-sub-ohm...

Do NOT put magnets on the batteries... this is just poor practice, and not very safe in my opinion. I don't know why anyone would suggest that.....

I mean, if you need a button top, get a button top... there are many, many things in vaping that can be modified, I do not believe that batteries should be one of them.....
