Hi! I'm new here and have been browsing around the new members threads trying to get an over-all feel for the forum. I just finished reading the "battery failure" posts and am totally confused. I don't know one battery type from another, and all the talk about batteries exploding has got me a little nervous. Is there a thread that lists the way to properly re-charge, store and care for your batteries, and which types are safe? I have the mini batt 808 type. Thanks!

KR808s are pretty solid. Stick with good supplier like those in ECF Forum Suppliers list. Exploding batts are very rare, but do be careful while charging batts. Do not leave the house or charge overnight. Some folks put a surge protector on the outlet or put the charging batt in a fireproof pan. Batts don't like heat, reduces charge, so I don't even keep batts in a hot car.

Having listed all these precautions, e-cigs are pretty safe as long as used correctly. You may hear many concerns regarding the juice you're vaping and equipment you're using. Overall, vaping is still much safer, to your health anyway, than smoking. You're on your way! :)
