It's all about minimizing liability from Provape's perspective. I don't blame them for recommending AW. As a consumer I am taking a calculated risk by purchasing a $1.50 18650 battery vs a AW $15 (w/shipping) battery.

Been using THESE and they are AMAZING for battery life. Their Protected so thats all that matters. And it is true about the AW "Stamp". It's more or less a rating from a guy who knows his stuff. I've been on the candlepower forum for awhile and he has a massive thread on 18650's with graphs and whatnot.

I use the same batteries in my Nitecore Tiny Monster TM15.

Use those all you want, just not in your ProVari unless the "high discharge" rate is on par with unprotected IMRs.
