im still very new to all this. i ordered a keep power 4200mah 26650, havent got it yet but after reading tests i realized its not all its cracked up to be.
has anyone had a chance to review or play around with these? i want to run quads with it but might not be able to so im looking for suggestions to more stable batts. i kinda wana run .8 ohm quads but if its unrealistic for anything other than a sony (wich i know is no longer in production) than i need suggestions on what to build so i can get the best cloud/vapor for my dollar/time. as always any any any help is greatly appreciated :D

Check Baditudes blog. I think he has a MNKE and Panasonic battery in his list for 26650.

I've got the KeepPower 4200mAh 50A 26650 battery in my Gladiator. KeepPower's stat sheet places it as a 30A continuous draw limit battery.
I'm running dual coils with 24g Nichrome 80 in a 29mm Tobh at a total resistance of 0.16 ohms. That puts me at 26.25A on a fresh charge. Not my daily driver, but fun to play with at home. No hot button, no heating of the mod itself at all. Heats quickly and have seen no problems with it at all. I recharge when it gets down to around 3.6v.
If you want to see KeepPower's stat sheet, check my blog link... it's all posted there.
For the time being these are the only batteries I use in 26650 form factor, and the only ones that I personally recommend.

Hope this helps.

i have spent the last week on lygte but thoes are still just specs and like umans every batt is diferent. i was hoping somebody has used this perticular batt and has some personal exp with it. i dont want to use untill i feel i can trust it at least 70%. otherwise ill go for something else entirely like a 18650mod since there is alot more info and exp/ time put into testing and people have been using for quite some time. i like clouds but im not tryng to loose my face (put it into a bondfire and got third degree burns unbelivable my face healed and you cant tell but that brush with death made me cherish life)

I would think that at .8 ohms, you'll be perfectly fine. I've not tried running quads on it yet, though. One of these days I'll pick up a 454 Big Block or something and play around, but, quite honestly, duals in the Tobh work plenty well for me. Only advice I can offer on quads is build it and give it a shot... with quads, I'd probably keep it at .5 ohms or above total. I definitely recommend using rayon for wicking though! Done right, nothing else can keep up with rayon.
Check out JeremyR's thread on it's use. It is a VERY long thread, but the "thread search" tool is a godsend. If you can't find exactly what you're looking for, everyone over there is extremely helpful... ask any questions you want and you'll find the help you need.

thats actually the atty i ordered was a 454 clone and had planned on vapeing at .5ohm as the 8 was my actuall goal but ive never built coils yet as it hasent come in. i know im doing this all back asswrds by starting with a quad build on a 26650 mod coming from a emowmega kit lol to each there own tho. and i will dive right into that thread asap. to bad there are only 24hrs in a day.

I do not disagree with you, Elvis. Many do overstate specs.
I'm not sure how the independent test was done when it comes to discharge. Time vs. current. But at short pulses for vaping purposes, I can push 25-26A on the KeepPowers that I have with no issues.
I see that the independent tester somehow managed to heat the battery enough to melt the heat-shrink.... I would actually love to know how he did that.

If you've never built coils before, I wouldn't suggest starting with a .5 quad setup...... try a 1.5-2 ohm single coil first... do that for a while and get used to the process.
Is it safe to assume that you have a decent meter or some other way to measure your resistance and check for shorts?

yes i have one of thoes testers you thread your atty onto or battery onto to test ohmage and batt volts. i was probly going to build a single as my first and just get the hang of it before jumping into subohmquads. that rayon seems pretty interesting but im not to partial on synthetics due to the health hazards of accedently dry hitting and inhaling bad things. ill probs just stick to cotton balls. thanks tho that was pretty interesting on how fast he said it wicks and holds.
