I'm charging my 2 18650 Imren 3000mah 3.7v 35amp batteries in my nitecore intelli i4 charger 2014 version
Specs, input ac 100-200
50/60 hz
0.35A (max)
DC 12v 1a
Output max 4.2v_+1%/1.48_+1%
0.375A*4/ 0.75A*2
For the first time. How long will it take, ball park figure? Keep in mind they weren't totally dead and blinking on the second highest up led light out of 3 lights. And is it normal for the charger to be a little warm but batteries are not warm or anything

Most new lithium batteries are shipped with about a 40 - 50% charge. The first few charging cycles may take a little longer to reach a full charge, and then they will "settle in" (for lack of a better phrase) and charge a little faster than when completely new. Since you asked about how long a new battery will take to charge, I'd guess no longer than 3 - 4 hours. Once they have "settled in" after a few cycles, this will become less time and may reach a full charge in a couple of hours.

I've been using the Nitecore Intellicharger i4 myself for about two years now. It's a high quality charger and I'm quite happy with its performance. I have not noted any heat production at all from my charger. Nor any heat from the batteries while charging.

Please be advised that regardless of the advertised specifications of your Imren battery, I'd be extremely wary that your battery is NOT a 35 amp "continuous discharge rate" battery. Note that Mooch has done battery specification bench testing of a wide range of battery brands, and Imren has been one of the worse offenders of over-rating their specifications.

Depending upon how hard you push your batteries, this may or may not concern you. What mod are you using, and what resistance are your coils?

Battery pulse ratings are useless!
There are no 18650 batteries with a genuine rating over 30A!
