Battery and Atomizer specification!

Okay, on two occasions from two different suppliers, I have gotten a 4075 atomizer and not a 901. In my opinion the suppliers should be upfront with what they are selling on ther websites! I am tired of returning things! The 4075 parts do not work properly on my 901! Rant off.

they always used to be interchangeable without problems which is why they just all get called a 901..

so out of curiosity whats changed.. why dont yours works properly...???

Is the 901 the same as the penstyle? If so my penstyle model is RN4072 not 4075..

the 901 is the mini... there is the original DSE 901.. then there is the RN4075 which is similar a mini but made by a different factory.. for some time they have both been called the 901..

901 is not the same as penstyle. 901 has a smaller battery, smaller atomizer and smaller carts.

In my experience, the 4075 atomizers and cartridges are slightly smaller than the 901 atomizers and cartriges. That leads to either loose cartridges (using 4075 carts and 901 atomizers) or cartridges that are too tight (901 carts and 4075 atomizer). They are interchangeable from a battery connection and yes, you can get them to work with each other, but it's not ideal.

With that said, I typically buy carts and atomizers at the same time so I just swap around batteries and keep those models paired.

That leads to either loose cartridges (using 4075 carts and 901 atomizers) or cartridges that are too tight (901 carts and 4075 atomizer). ESK--the same holds true when using RN4072 versus a DSE801 with regards to cartridge fits--the RN4072 atomizer has a larger diameter than a DSE801. I can report no difference though in the threading of these two penstyles---Sun

and the classic style ones from bestecig.. i am not sure what they are or what factoy thye come from.. but they are noticeably shorter and generally smaller than the original DSE classic ones..

the DSE classics are supposed to be an identical copy of the original ruyan penstyle... the threads are basically the same with them all but the depth of the cowl is very different with some of the others....

mixing and matching kinda works but might not with some devices.. i think mixing and matching isnt quite as good as it used to be.. some changes have taken place..

Thanks I was confused on the numbers.. Its the 801 not 901 that is compatable with the penstyle.. Thanks for clearing that up for me....

I just think that the suppliers should allow each person to make the decision as to whether they are okay with the RN4075 atomizers or not. Not just send them. It should be made clear, I have seen many sites that state what their products are specifically. I guess I will stick with those. Now I know.

Actually I've read here somewhere that the 4075 coil burns hotter and gives much MORE vapor than the 901.

I wouldn't know! I can't get the stuffing in the cart to reach the coil. lol The most recent RN4075 atomizer (got it today) also has a broken coil

atomizer bridges poking up further with (some) later designs is one of the changes that have taken place.. some time back they were both the same height now they are not..

the problem is the chinese factories make these changes whenever it suits them.. their interest is mainly to sell new products.. rearwards compatibility isnt high on their agenda.. so what used to be okay now isnt okay.. its an ever changing thing..

but it is worse than what it used to be.. the difference in bridge height hasnt always been there.. its a relatively recent thing..

tweaking the wool higher kinda get around it.. the too loose or too tight cart factor is also a problem.. it pays to keep some older carts to make sure you have some that fit whatever atomizer changes take place..

these things are constantly changing in small ways.. the bits that come with a kit will match up but thats about it.. often the suppliers are not aware these small changes have taken place..

one thing we are noticing is bad threads.. some atomizers just wont screw onto a battery.. manufacturing tolerances seem to be getting worse.. we put this down the the chinese factories being overworked trying to meet an ever increasing demand for e cigs..

all is not entirely well in the e cig world..

I have had an issue with the cart being too loose also. I have had great luck with the true 901 parts. The ones with the engraving on the connection. I got a battery from Ping and it only works with one of my atomizers. Crazy! lol I have found a couple of companies that only sell the 901 parts and I will just stick with them. That will keep my blood pressure down I wish I could try an RN4075 atomizer and get the vapor that you guys are talking about. I have tried the 4075 and the 901 carts and still haven't gotten it to work. Like I said, the one that I got today is broken so I can't even try it.
