Battery and Tank Question.

Ok, so I got a Kangertech Evod starter kit and I bought an iClear 30 tank because I wanted to.

When I put the Iclear 30 on the Kanger battery it doesn't feel like it has much pull, and not much vapor comes out, then about a minuet in of trying to get it to work, the Battery starts flashing, even if it's fresh off the charger.

My question is Should I give up on my iClear 30 tank or do I just need a stronger battery?:?:

Thanks in advance.

Try another head on the iClear 30. The iClear 30 is dual coil, so each coil is double the resistance of a single coil. For dual coils, you cut the total resistance (ohms) of each coil in half to make up the total resistance of the head. The higher the resistance (ohms) the more power needed to heat them. If one of those coils died, then you are relying on only one coil, which would be up to 4 ohms if the total of your coil head is supposed to be 2 ohms as an example. If you are getting too little vapor, it could be that your battery isn't up to the task of firing a coil so high.

For starter i prefer kanger or aspire bdc but for your iclear i think you have a short on your coil (head) or the resistance is too high for the battery to handle, you should try to change your coil cause battery flashing is a sign of something wrong so that your battery can't fire your atty

Flashing like that usually indicates a short. If you change to another device like an evod tank and it works, then the iclear is the problem. I have also had this happen with one of my batteries when I get a build up of liquid or gunk in the battery connection are...basically getting a short between the positive battery post and the negative outside wall of the battery well. My guess is a bad coil on the iclear.

Hope no one minds if I hijack this thread - similar question, but different setup.

I'm using an eGo Twist 650mAh and iClear 16s for juice - working great, love them. But I got some juices that shouldn't go in clearomizers, so went to my local vape shop for metal/glass tanks. I got an Aerotank and a Mini Protank 3, filled them, waited the correct time, popped them on my eGo, but they get pretty hot and I'm getting a weird taste from the Protank.

Did some searching, and it sounds like my eGo can't handle the dual coils on the tanks. I really like the "pen-style" battery, so does anyone have suggestions on what batteries would be better? I only have 2 batteries so I have no problem getting a third as a backup. But I also read that the tanks might be better if I get single coils for them instead of dual?

I'm a super new vaper so I'm not looking to get into anything rebuildable at the moment. Would appreciate any advice! :)

For more power in an ego sized battery, try an ITaste VvV3. It does everything an advanced, regulated, mod would do, in a slender form factor.
