willl a Trustfire TR001 work with an efest 18650 35a 26mah battery? thanks. dont want to buy a charger that wont work

Most people on ECF do not recommend anything with fire in its name. A lot of good information is in the section on batteries.
It would take a Trustfire charger twice as long to charge a battery as a quality charger like a Pila, Xtar, Nitecore, or Efest.
Like batteries, not all chargers are created equal. Good batteries deserve a good charger. A Trustfire does not fit into either category.

The Problem with a Trustfire TR-001 is there Where/Are many revision to the Original Base model.
Some had Problems. And it is Impossible to tell by Looking at the Outside what Revision the Charger is. So I would Not Recommend getting a TR-001.
I would suggest getting something more like a Nitecore i2

BTW - I got a TR-001 with my First Provari Years ago. Have used it Hundreds of Times for Both MODs and for Flashlight Batteries. Have Never had a Single Problem.
And nitecore just came out with the D4 not too long ago. Still some of the same quirks the I4 had, but a nice charger for the money.

They did not, but it is metal on metal slides now I think. And other nice improvements. Like temperature monitor for both battery and charger and shuts off if either get too hot. I'll take that over longer slides personally.
Not sure why a Newly Designed charger can't have Both?
ETA: Do you know what the Longest Battery that will Physically Fit in this New D2 or D4 Charger?

My first Vamo came with a Trustfire charger. After reading here for a while, I bought a Nitecore Intellicharger 4. First time I used it, I was shocked at how much faster it charged the batteries. Like about half the time.
I don't know the length, but here's a list of compatible batteries and features. I have yet to pull the trigger on getting one yet.
