Not sure why a Newly Designed charger can't have Both?
ETA: Do you know what the Longest Battery that will Physically Fit in this New D2 or D4 Charger?
I don't know the length, but here's a list of compatible batteries and features. I have yet to pull the trigger on getting one yet.
