I just bought a sigelie Zmax at a local vape shop and I requested an Efest battery for it since I know efest is a pretty good brand. It is an IMR18650 3.7 LI - Mn Battery. Its black in color, with a silverish sticker with the information on it. It is a button top. It has a "V2" on the bottom of the battery, as well, which i guess means version 2.

I am attaching a couple images of my battery and the trustfire charger i bought. Basically what I am looking for is; What your opinions are on this setup, Are these batterys safe to run in my sigelie? Is the battery safe to charge on the trustfire charger? I posted a link the siglie and the trustfire charger, and for the batterys I just took two images, which are in the attachments.

Here is the link to my trustfire charger:https://vaporbank.com/shop/index.php?p=product&id=353

Tell me what you think. It says it chargers IMR type batterys and this is what this one is from what I am collecting.

Here is the sigelie mod that I bought:https://vaporbank.com/shop/index.php?p=product&id=1970

I really hope somebody can help me get this setup going and help me with some of the questions I am having. I am still quite a new vapor and am slowly trying to progress to make it to mechanicals!

Thanks alot! :p

I'm interested in a reply myself. Although I have efest in a different size u basically bought the same battery set up. All I will say is that the guys that sold me the package were from a reputable shop and knew what they were doing. So I have faith in them. But with all of the horror stories, you still want to know don't you?

I think battery safety is something that should be a priority focus for vaping this year. It is something that legislators will jump all over in the coming years and months.

So I am guessing you have like the 18350 version? But the "black cover" looking version.

The batteries you have are appropriate for the Segelei ZMax - high drain IMR type chemistry.

You could have done better with the charger. The Trustfire is a cheap bottom of the barrel charger. A moderately priced Xtar or Nitecore would be a better choice. A high quality charger is just as important as high quality batteries. Statistically, most battery incidents happen during charging the batteries.

Yeah I was a couple bucks short when I went to the vape shop so I had to go with the trustfire charger unfortunately. It saved me a little bit but it was a must do becaues of money issues. On the other hand, since you said my battery was ok for the zmax, what about the charger for the battery? Will me using the trustfire cause me some problems in some kind of way?

The trustfire charger, is defiantely temporary until i can rake up enough cash to buy a better one. Thanks for the advice.

Efest batteries are great and the trustfire isn't bad, but its not great either. It will work until you as n get something better. The nitecore i4 is less then $18 on Amazon.

Yeah I so totally want a nitecore, they look really nice, although I am literally broke right now, I just went and bought a whole setup which left me typically busted for the time being. You are right I have been getting pretty good performance out of my efests, I just bought an 18500 efest as well and it is very nice looking and it vapes well also.

The answer is in the first link I provided.

I also just bought an 18500 Efest 1100 MaH. it is Orange in color and I believe it is an IMR. Does this mean the amperage on that is like 8.9 amps? I compared it to the 18490 on the "Battery and Chargers" link you provided, as there was no 18500 under the efest column, the closest thing was the 18490. And if I am correct, I am seeing that the 18650 efest 2250 mah battery is a 10 amp limit on the battery and chargers page, am I correct? Thanks for the help, I will be reviewing the batterys and chargers page more to learn what i need to.

by the way I have another question involving these batterys. Right now I am using a Zmax Version 3, I have the 18650 2250 MAH IMR efest and the 18500 1100 mah IMR efest; When is a good time to charge these? Like how low can I let the battery voltage get, using a mod that isn't a mechanical. With mechanicals you would obviously notice a difference in vape quality as the battery voltage drops, but what about using a Zmax since it isn't a mechanical? What is your advice on this guys? Thanks :)l Cheers.:vapor:
