Vap'n like mad to get rid of that nasty atty breakend crap!!:grr:

But after I put the second set of batteries in the charger I had trouble with them seating themselves. The first set was a little loose as well. I had to play with the second set to get them to make contact and start charging. Can I bend anything to set a tighter contact? Didn't want to start playing around and screw up the charger. I'm afraid I be really ...... to have a brand new Prodigy and no way to charge the batteries.

Anyone else having trouble with this. Seems like the charger is made to exactly fit these little guys.

Or is it just me?

Also, after dirpping three or four times I put a cart into the atty and it started really tasting foul. Took the cart out and one side had melted!>?! Wow!! Will I not be able to use carts in my 801 atty???

the charger issue: youre not the first to experience this. look around, you will see fixes for what youre probably experiencing. i think it has to do with bending the prongs on the bottom of the chargers to get them to push up to the positive terminals. check it out though, i dont have a prodigy yet, but i read about it.

melting the atty....take shorter drags, and dont overheat your atty coil, i guess? i have the same issue with my 510 and cut little "V"s on the sides of the cart. no more melting.

I actually had the same problem today when I first received my prodigy. I didn't look at the forums though, I just used a small screwdriver to just pull the bottom "spring" contact out a bit. It didn't take much, and after putting the battery back in place, it fit quite snugly.

Just don't pull on them too much and get them out of shape, or accidentally break the contact. Again, it doesn't take much.

I'm sure after use, it will happen again, the metal isn't very strong, and will probably gain "memory" of the battery's pressure against them. You may have to do it every once in a while.

Good luck, and I wish you all the best with your Prodigy!

Take a needle nose pliers and bend the negative clips toward the center. Mine did the same thing -- sunk into the slot.

Now, every time I charge, I turn the charger upside down to ensure that the batts are both in there securely.

Great suggestion Duckies, I'll try the needle nose and turn the charger upside down when I get to work tomorrow.

Thanks sythe944; my fear of playing with the contacts is the same reason I got the Prodigy, "MORE POWER"!!!! I'll have to be careful tomorrow.

Definitely shorter drags will help. There is a learning curve to this thing. Lots of juice and shorter puffs. That is the point to get more vapor with less effort. It aint no 901 that's for sure... lol... I am getting used to this beast too... Nice to taste my juice like it should be. I can actually taste the vanilla in the RY4 now. couldn't before. I had to just slow down and enjoy it instead of trying to kill it like I stole it.. Take a few and set it down.. Drop a few on it and hit it again.. wait 15-20 and repeat...
