Recharging batteries

With a multimeter you can test to see if they are getting fully charged and if they are dropping charge too fast. Also test attomizers and test for connection problems. If none of the batteries are lasting very long there may be some other problem.

For me it isn't that they aren't lasting a long time, they just aren't lasting as long as they were in the beginning. I'm still not complaining at all about these batteries or the Prodigy. The vaping time far surpasses any other PV I have and I've just received today my second Prodigy.

No multimeter here. I am, pardon pun, resisting the impulse to go all Radio-Shack geek over this habit, but it's probably inevitable.

Motorcity, thanks for linky... Interesting mice-type there. I wonder how we know if we're discharging these batteries beyond the recommended lower limit.

...and why stay on topic when there's a puppy as relentlessly cute as that staring right at us??? I have a dachshund/beagle mix (NEVER, NEVER DO THIS). He probably looked much like that li'l one as a newborn.

Since I started the thread, can I give permission to go OT?

My batteries went down to between 3 and 4 hours of vaping after about a week. I kind of expected the drop. My standard 510 batteries would go for about 30 minutes, so to me this is a huge improvement.

You may want to try the non-rechargeable protected 1400mAh Tenergy bats for times when you really need them to last a long time. They cost about $1 each and worked really well for me:

Rechargeable Batteries & Battery Chargers - Tenergy CR123A Lithium Photo Battery Propel with PTC Protected

I wrote few comments about them in another thread:

Yeah, just stretch that part up a bit so that the battery is just a tiny bit hard to get back into the charger.

The puppy in question, btw, is now 9 years old. But when I got him, he was about as long as half of my keyboard, and that is the pic you see... the first day I had him. Name is Maxie, and he's the alpha dog over two German Shepherds, who let him think he's the boss.

We have five females and 4 of them are alpha females, makes it interesting around here. Our male dog who learned quick to allow the females to be alpha is no longer with us. Ours range from 14 years to 7 months. Two are sisters from a breeder and one is one of their pups. All but the youngest are fixed and the youngest soon will be. They have us well trained.

OK, sorry, back to topic.

Just a thought , I have marked my batteries in pairs and always keep the pairs together . example 1A 1B , 2A 2B, then I also switch the order that the batteries go into the prodigy , Example 1A and then 1B , then next time 2A and then 2B , then the next 1B first and then 1A, and so on ,, this makes an attempt at using then batteries equally, and balancing the work load .

hope this helps
