I don’t have a voltmeter yet but when I was using the charger when charging was complete it said it was complete at 4.25 or 4.3 I would lean more towards 4.25 because on the charger it was charging at 1005 mah you think the battery would be dangerous to use? I could pop it in to my efest LUC charger to see the voltage I know that one works for sure

It's likely not damaged but that charger will reduce the life of the battery, that's not a good charger to rely on. If the battery is overstressed (or has a flaw in it) bad things may happen.

Technically it's impossible to get a battery to 4.2V with a 4.2V charger, it will always come out below 4.2V as soon as you take it out and that's how it should be. Get one of the chargers recommended above.

He said it's an "eastshine s2". In a description on scamazon it says the output voltage is 4.2V, so in theory it should be fine. That doesn't seem to be the case though as the charger itself tells a different story. Without a multimeter it would be hard to tell.
Seeing it's not a widely recommended charger I thought it was safer to suggest a known good one.

I'd replace the charger. I doubt that overcharging slightly--once-- even if your charger was reading correctly which it may not be, well, the battery is most likely okay although it's not something you want to keep doing routinely.

I have a nitecore intellecharger two bay and I like it. I wouldn't mind a 4 bay at some point, but so far mine has been pretty reliable. The sleds were a bit rough but eased up as I used it. I could've probably lubricated the sleds when I got it, too, that would have solved the problem. Xtar is another brand that gets good reviews.

Best of luck,

Anna

What are some good websites I can buy a charger from?
Could read and compare before you buy:
Flashlight information
Where to buy:
Could try ECF Star Suppliers, if something goes wrong you can arbitrate through their forum.
re: ECF Forum Suppliers
I would also consider looking for a supplier who has listed their phone number (I always call before I buy and ask a question so I know I can talk to someone if things go south) and has a relativelyclean Googled "problems/Issues" track record.
Could fill in your location, it may help you in obtaining location specific charger information to your questions.
On the top right hand corner of this post you will find --"your name" next to "Inbox and Alerts"
Place the mouse pointer on your name. You will get a drop down and on the left hand side of this drop down you will find "Personal Details".
Click Personal Details.

Efest a battery rewrappers with an atrocious reputation for inflated specs and shady business practices. I don't know what the true specs of that cell are, but I guarantee they are not what is printed on the wrapper.
When it comes to 18650s, if it's not a Sony Samsung LG or Panasonic I wouldn't use it. Especially if its covered in purple polyvinyl chloride.

Hey all I been trying to get a good battery charger so I got the eastshine S2 and was charging a battery but when it was fully charged it was over 4.2V did it damage my battery or is that normal? Also if anyone could show me links to some good chargers for 26650 batteries I’d appreciate it.

There have been some good replies, so I'll not add on about the chargers, however the battery is an issue.

"ALL" of Efest's batteries are re-wraps, you do not know what is under that wrapper and they over spec the batteries, so are the worst offender in those brands of manufacturers. 26650's, it is near impossible to get an authentic un-re-wrapped 26650, as all available 26650 batteries are just re-wraps to begin with. The best and highly suggested by our resident battery stress tester @Mooch, is the IJoy 26650, so while looking to get a good charger look at getting a couple of those IJoy 26650's for your mod as well. I have 2 I rotate in and out of my HCigar VT75, and far outperform the older MNKE and Efest 26650's I used in the past.

Be safe out there.
