Hi all. Nice forum you guys have here. I've only vaped a few times when my friend let me try his itaste.

Looking forward to kicking the dirty analog habit.

The thing is if I'm going to get into this I don't want to find myself without everything I will need to successfully go every day without resorting back to combustion.

So, I ordered a cool fire 1 & it should be arriving shortly. After reading info on here I wish I did more research on this before purchasing. Seeing everyone complaining about the 18350 battery lifespan.

Can anyone recommend a charger/recharagables that I should be looking into? I tried having a look but there's so much info it's overwhelming for a complete noob like me.

Also, coils. What kind of coil will I need to replace this cool fire 1? Is there a DIY method for doing this myself?

Thanks so much & sorry for all the questions.

Welcome to ECF! Never be sorry for questions. We all started somewere and I myself still ask questions. About the set-up you have I'm not too sure. My Silver Bullet uses 18650 batteries. I have a trufire. But there are much better chargers out there. Mine was only like $9.99. But it hasn't let me down in over a year so, /crosses fingers.

Thanks for the quick response. Does anyone know if this would work? (Tried posting a link but not allowed to).

Welcome to the forums, RunningWater!
Ask all of the questions you want... we've all been through the phase that you are in now, and we're all willing to help ease your path!
The Cool Fire will be a decent starter (though you are right about the 18350's charge capacity).
Your mod has built in safety systems, so basically just look for batteries with the highest mAh rating you can find. That is how many milliamps it can sustain for an hour of consistent use (your use will not be consistent).
As for coils, it depends... what atomizer system are you putting on top of the Cool Fire? Some have diy rebuildable coils, some have replaceable pre-made coils...
Good luck in your journey!!

so I'm seeing 1200mAh, 800mAh & 700mAh. I'm to go with the 1200mAh? Do I have to worry about this thing catching fire?

I'm not too sure what I'm typing here but the cool fire 1 comes with a: iClear 30B - Bottom dual Coil Tank

1200 will probably be really good in that mod. Due to the protection circuits built into the device limiting it's current draw and wattage, you should have very little risk of it catching fire.
You may want to upgrade from the iClear, but that is my opinion... check out the Aspire Nautilus for a simple replaceable coil system.

Welcome. Maybe this link will help you out. The questions you ask can have some complex answers, as there are just so many answers. That's not meant to say this whole vaping thing is complex and can not be understood easily. It simply means that there is SO MUCH info it can be hard to sift through. The link I provided you with is a ton of info in one easy place.

The Iclear that comes with it will get you started, not my favorite tank, but it has plenty of fans out there.
Any vendor that sells innokin products will have replacement coils, stock up if you plan on keeping that tank in business, they're cheap.
The good news is that the coolfire 1 has both 510 and ego threading so you can use just about any topper out there. I'd steer clear of any rebuildables on that mod, it just doesn't have the power to use them to their capability. Kanger tech and Aspire both have some really nice tanks out that could be a great next step.

On a 18350 mod I would recommend 4 batteries of the highest mah rating you can find those 1200s will be good. You have no need for a high drain battery on that mod as it is a set wattage (8.5) regulated mod with built in safety features.

I would recommend at minimum a 2 bay charger, 4 bay would be better. The nitecore chargers are real nice, but a smaller battery like those will charge fairly quickly on just about anything out there.

Single, dual, and quad bay chargers are still rather inexpensive. If I were vaping 18350's I'd want a 4 bay charger. The Nitecore Intellicharger i4 is a good one for under $20.

We all still have our starter kits. I started with a Joye 510, then and eGo, and finally broke down and ordered a Provari once I was sure vaping was going to be my way off cigarettes.

Lots of people start out with the Vision Spinner and a Kanger Protank or an Evod. Aspire makes some inexpensive clearos in dual coil style that are good. Most eventually realize the need for replaceable batteries so they don't have to carry a backup mod that requires charging.

But all that can come after you get your feet wet and decide to stay with vaping. If there's a vape store in your area it would be worth your while to go and see all the hardware in person and talk to someone who can demonstrate and answer questions.

You are in Ontario, CA? There should be vape shops all over Ontario. At first I thought Ontario, California ... right outside of LA. That would be vape heaven if California doesn't shut them down through taxation and various restrictions.

If it's Canada, you have four choices, according to BING.
