The wall adapter is a problem. Are you sure it says .2A max on the OUTPUT of the wall adapter????
Show her those things and explain:
The wall adapter is only outputting .2 amps. That's 200 mA
The charger wants to output 420 mA (.42 amps).

So that's not the best combo. She should have given you a better wall wart IMHO.

So, if I had more output on the wall charger, it would've been ok? Is this what ruined the battery?

Not likely - it would just make the charger slower. It would be hard to tell what got the battery. Could have been a lemon - they can work for a while but if there's a bad solder point, they can stop after having worked. The main cuprit is usually shorts from coils that have gunked up and dropped below 1.0 ohms or shorted by some other means.

and have a clock!
and a "vapiri" -
"hello hottie...your juice is low, time to refill"
"hottie, it's time for work, get off ecf"
"hottie, i need a new battery"
;)

vamo:
- big button = 5 clicks on/off
- right button clicked is "up", held down 2 seconds is resistance check, held down for 15 seconds switches between no1/no2 modes (avg/rms)
- left button clicked is "down", held down 2 seconds is resistance check, held down for 15 seconds switches between no1/no2 modes (avg/rms)
- both buttons held down for like 10 seconds switches display between V and W on display
- does not retain volt settings when changing battery, or switching between modes
- have to turn on when battery is changed
- can access all settings when display is on
- flashes when battery is lo and display reads "Lo"

provari -
- one button 5 clicks accesses menu
you have to stop clicking and wait about 2-3 seconds when you see the item you want to access or you just go in a loop of PU -- PD -- then you click the button to change up/down/on/off
Pu - power up (5 clicks)
Pd - power down (7 clicks)
Po - power off/on (9 clicks)
Cb - check battery (11 clicks)
Ao - attomizer ohm check (13 clicks)
Lo - led on/off (button light on or off when pressed/vaping - 15 clicks)
- if you access a sub menu you have to wait until display shuts off to go back and start clicking again for another menu
- retains settings on battery change/power off
- has error codes E1-8 (i think) and Op (open circuit on faulty atty or not fully connected)
- flashes when battery is low

now i have to go to work (my ego told me) :D

edit: fixed what was incorrect :D (hi myrany!)

Sorry, but I do not understand your post. Battery has only one button. Possibly you are refering to buttons on a multi meter.???

Because most chargers have no sensor to shut off when your battery charge is complete, and in fact, while leaving it in once charged you are wearing out the battery life.

You should remove your battery from the charger as soon as it is fully charged.

Unfortunately many of these kits have instructions that fail to mention this.

When I started vaping four years ago the instructions stated that a new battery should initially be charged for eight hours.
I have always charged my new batteries accordingly, except I have just tried out my new Mega 1000mah battery and it is dead,
even though it give a reading of 4.1v. Either a dud was delivered to me or it was the odd one out that was overcharged.
I guess I will never know.

Hi. I can't help with the Spinner, but don't feel bad, I am the same way with batteries as you. I have had my laptops plugged in all the time, the first one for 6 years and only used it on battery about a half dozen times. I always recharge my cellphone overnight. Looks like I need to revisit those habits. I never knew it could be dangerous to charge/overcharge overnight. No retailer ever told me about that either. I guess easy is never really easy. Hope you get your Spinner working.

Ok, this made me literally lol.

I almost blew my house up with a spinner... You really think I'm ready for a provari? Common man.

I think the operative word in the warnings is "rarely". That means it can and will happen but not often. That means that there are a few measures that should be taken to insure it does not happen. I really don't buy into the statement "I almost blew my house up...." My batteries did come with instructions. I have the eGo U kit as my starter. The documentation said that these batteries are protected and cannot overcharge. I believed that and have had one on charger every night since I purchased them at the beginning of May 2013. NO problems (thank God). The light goes off on the battery and the light on the charger stays green after a full charge.

I will not leave them on charger overnight anymore! I will not use them right off the charger. Thank you to everyone who posted about the cautions! I didn't learn to clean the posts until I was using them for about 2 weeks. I didn't hear about cleaning my clearos for about the first month. Now I know. Part of the information came from my B&M folks and most from this forum. My point: there is so much information out there and just an hour a day on this forum will be invaluable for those of us in the beginning of the learning curve. This is easy for me when I am in town. I love to research stuff and learn all I can about my "toys", hobbies and medical issues. Thank God for the search function on this forum!

Please don't grab the stinkies in response to your frustration! It's all good. Your house, family and you are currently unscathed from your actions with these batteries. Again, Thank God. I don't mean to downplay the dangers but they just aren't as scary as you make them sound. I have seen people fuel their cars and big trucks while talking on their cell phones with a cigarette hanging out of their mouths. They haven't blown up. I did report them to the manager if they didn't cease and desist since I have seen a car blow up from a spark just a few blocks from here! I don't want to be parked next to them when it happens.

Caution is necessary as with all electrical things. Caution, not paranoia. Vape on.

I didn't say she said that, I said she implied that. Saying an action makes oneself a chump is implying others who do that action makes them chumps. It's in the laws of chump-dom.

It is that she implied or you inferred? Anyway. I like the patriotism card and I don't like supporting China anymore than I have to. Since China owns us, lock, stock and barrel, it is pretty difficult to avoid! Ugh. Politics are such a rotten subject.

All that said, I am looking at the VAMO against advice from so many people both on the forum and from my local vape shop. With all the conflicting views and my own, possibly flawed, reasoning, I think I will hold off and just enjoy my VV PT that doesn't last for more than 250 vapes at 4.0 volts on battery alone. Someday, my prince will come. Someday I will just "know" what I will order. It worked for Snow White, maybe it will work for me.

I really appreciate all the info here about batteries. I was going to get the VAMO kit from Fast Tech but now I will go for the case only and get the BEST batteries and charger that I can find (based on these reviews). However, that is only IF I get the VAMO.

Back to my RY-4 and TW's Black Magic to vape and ponder as Sherlock Holmes would do. I believe this will be more than a "one bowl" conundrum.
