bought a brand new manual 5 sec batt couple of weeks ago. It quit :( sent dohsma a pm about it. Only thing i see unusual about it is the button is a little crooked, but it makes a nice firm 'click" when you mash the button..and i suspect the internal "battery" is fine as it charged normally so its probably a switch/mosfet problem.

Only my second battery fail (had an auto that was a fail from the factory too) and i had one just wear out (they do after all wear out LOL) which is perfectly normal and acceptable, so I'd consider myself pretty lucky.

Shame about this one though, it was brand new..just quit lighting up and vaping all at once.

Bummer

I had ordered a whole bunch of the xlong manual batteries, 2 failed out of the entire lot, one was a button issue, wouldn't press down to activate the carto and the other one cut off after like 2 seconds. I asked for replacements when I placed the next order and they not only replaced those, they sent me 2 free 10 second batts along with the replacements. I don't know of any other company that would do such a nice thing for their customer. I'm sure I would probably end up battling just for what I should have gotten in the first place from many other companies. Would have ended up asking for permission to send it back for a refund/replacement, bundling it up and shipping it back, wait for them to inspect it and make a decision on what they were going to do... then maybe I'd like their decision or maybe I wouldn't... Whatever, I would be stuck with it.

So many companies, even some of the small businesses have taken on the impersonal attitude of big corporations these days, they assume that their customers are dishonest when they have a problem with their goods and that's a shame. I know there are some people who would take advantage of a generous return policy such as the one V4L has, but I doubt there are many that would do that, I still have faith that people are basically honest. V4L is like working with a Mom and Pop store that hasn't been tainted with that impersonal thing, it's really nice.

I almost wish I had more smokers around me so I could buy all my Christmas presents from V4L this year. :) (Not really wishing for more smokers, but you know what I mean.)
