Ok im new to mods so that means new to batteries other than the run-of-the-mill AA's.

I just got a sabertouch, I know it uses 18650 for 3.7 and rcr123a 3.0 for 6v. When buying from madvapes, I know what 18650 I need but seems the rcr123a has very bad reviews.

My questions are these, 1) if buying both types, will the same charger work for both? And 2) are rcr123a just that bad of a battery? And are rcr and cr the same? I have read r means rechargable but ive seen cr and in the comments/review people mention 'charge fast'

Thank you in advance for helping a mod noob

I can't fully answer your questions but here goes:

As far as the charger goes, I'm not sure. the RCR123's and CR2's are different batteries. Although similar in preformance, the CR2's are quite a bit shorter than the 123's.

As far as the bad reviews I would have to say that is because of the protection circut on the batteries. When you drain the batteries too fast the protection circut will cut the batteries out. I believe this happens when you use a battery under 2.8-3.0ohms on a 6v application. This is my expierence with the CR2's at least.

Well thank you, but even if not able to answer completely, any answer is a good answer

I've been using these Protected Trustfire 16340/CR123 Lithium Ion Battery, 3.7v, 880mah stacked in my Maxi Roughstack and haven't had a problem with them at all. I bought one of the Trustfire TR-001 chargers and it charges them without problem. Some chargers don't take short batt's without a spacer, but this charger doesn't need it.
