Why do ultrafire 14500's and 18650's shut off at high voltage 5 and up? What do I do to fix this? I know it has something to do with the resistance in the carto, but it's confusing me and getting old quick...
its the protection circuit in the batt's I believe..... if the resistance of the carto/atty is too low it trips the protection circuit in the batts. I figured it out when i tried using a LR306 on one of my homemade 5v mods. was just checking to see if it worked and grabbed the closest atty i could reach. pressed the button and got nothing. light would come on for a quick second then shut off. then it dawned on me to try my unprotected batteries and it fired. so i changed the atty real quick and it works great. I knew not to vape with a LR atty but it was the first time ive had the batts trip from a resistance missmatch...
Nice guys thanks, I knew it had something to do with that stupid Protection Circuit, That's why I been using my trustfires, but no one has any anywhere. I have two trustfires, and need more bad! Thanks "TWOHANDED", AND "JIMI"
