I have just started making box mods with parts from madvapes. I need to order some batteries and was going to order from China to get the best price, however they have "TrustFire" and "UltraFire".

What is the difference in these 2 brands other than price? Which one is best??

Is there a better US made battery I should use instead? If so - who has the best price?

I need 14500's and 10440's

TIA for any advice for this newbie!

They're pretty much the same, brand-wise. I think the Ultrafire ones are a little more accurate in their mah ratings, but that might just be me :). They're all made in China anymore (that's where the lithium is).

You can get them el-cheapo at Dealextreme, but since they're shipping from China, be prepared to wait ~3 weeks.

I'd get one of each from a state-side supplier (just for speed considerations), try 'em out, then order a dozen and a spare charger from dealextreme. Don't forget the spare charger! You can have a zillion batteries; don't work so well if your lone charger dies.

I've got 3 ;)

They are pretty much the same. They are both protected cells. I have both for the 14500's The trustfire are 3.7v and are like 1-2mm shorter making them easier to fit in a standard AA spot the ultrafire are 3.6v so pretty much the same just a hair longer. They both preform the same for me. I am happy with both, I use them in various mods for a year, but I will say the blue 14500 trustfire 3.7v is what I will stick to just for size.
