Hello All, was just curious if anyone could give me an idea on whether or not I'm seeing appropriate battery life out of batteries.

I am using a Phoenix V5 wrapped at 0.8 Ohms with a Silver Bullet using IMR EFest 2000 MAH high drain batteries. I am getting about an hour and a half of good hits using these batteries and then the battery very quickly deteriorates.

Is this normal? Could my charger be a piece of crap? Am I using the wrong batteries for this setup?

I'm not the BEST at using these quite yet. When I wrapped the coils, I tested them individually at 1.6 ohms, they are evenly heating from the center out.

Just to try and help. I wouldn't do it........... When you get into sub ohms your getting in dangerous country. Lots of vapors do it. I've built a few sub ohms myself. You need to fully understand ohms law and the amp draw your battery is capable of.
I'll try and post a link I just saw. It may help answer some of your questions. There are a couple of members who are very respected in the fourm with information about this.

Hope it helps.:vapor:

Well, there are a few factors. Mainly, your mAh rating.
I use the Orbtronic (Panasonic) PD 2900's, obviously 2900 mah. If i'm out all night and chain vaping, at or around .8 ohms, I can barely tell the decreases.
Also, when I DO sense a "drop in performance", I adjust my vaping techinque a tad. I.E. longer pulls, longer coil firing times so as to get good heat.
If it's in your budget, get a battery with some more muscle. You need to anyway, for S/O peace of mind.

Also...keep the mech cleaned/greased. And if you know all this already, then apologies.

Fortunately, I can afford good batteries, what would you recommend being the best for .8 ohm + vaping? I plan on using the Russian at around 1-1.2 ohms as long as I can pull out decent vapor production, which I don't see why I woulnd't.

Lucky dog. I've got a kayfun lite and been drooling over the Russian for a while now

What's the main thing you're wanting the Russian for over the KFL?
