Steven445, can you answer the questions in this blog in the link? If so, you could be ready for your first rba. If not, perhaps you need to do some more homework.
I already built the IGO L quite a few times and have a 1.5 ohm going on a Provari right now.
I feel comfortable with building the atomizer and I just need to check it on the Provari before putting it on the Mechanical.

I am torn between the K-100 and the Smoktech Natural.

Not sure on site reliability but I've noticed a lot of people posting this site up. Anyone know how long it takes to receive the product?

I want to say 1 1/2 - 2 weeks depending on where you live exactly. I know a buddy who lives in San Diego, CA and received his in 8 "business" days.

I heard its better to go with the 1600 mah for a mechanical since I will be aiming for 0.5-0.8 ohms.
Probably 0.8 ohms.

You heard correctly. From this chart generated by Battery test 18650, comparator:
AW%20IMR%20Comparison.JPG

you can see that the AW IMR 1600mAh outperforms and outlasts the 2000mAh within our useful vaping range.

(I chose to generate the chart at a 5A drain because you are looking at building 0.8ohm coils. The difference between the batteries is not as drastic at a lower current draw, but the 1600 still outperforms the 2000.)

The chart shows that if you are going to drain your battery down to, say, 3.6v (a reasonable limit with a mech), you will get about 490mAh from the 2000, and 650mAh from the 1600. Additionally, the 1600 holds a higher voltage throughout the period down to 3.6v (i.e., a better vape for a longer period).

(hehehe, the reality of those 490mAh and 650mAh numbers sure don't look like the yeehaw we get from thinking about 1600, 2000, 2250mAh ratings we read, huh.)

BTW, that chart is two lines/two batteries of each type. It is a testament to AW's quality that they are so consistent from cell to cell. Not all brands show that tight a spread.

Is the 1600 mah better for a Provari too?

I'd give that a "sorta, maybe, maybe not". That is not as clear-cut as the non-regulated situation. The 2000 may give a marginally longer usage time down to 3.3v, but I don't have any idea how the drain from the boosting scenario would affect the usage time. Probably (guessing ;)) a wash.

Just an aside, for those that have asked, Ive placed multiple orders with fasttech and never had one take more than 9 days in transit to NY. It can take 1-3 days for them to actually pack and get it to the shipping carrier. In transit 8-9 days. Imo, the free shipping and discounts available are entirely worth the wait.
