battery life question

ok so I bought my subtank min and new AW IMR 18650 3.7v 2000mah (7.4wh) battery with it. the guy at the shop had told me charging with the usb cable was just fine. so up until 3 days ago I was getting a full day and a half off my battery. I noticed it was getting less so I started researching a bit. found out it's not reccomended to charge with the cable mainly due to older versions not charging right or something but on newer versions it is supposed to be ok but not reccomended. so I bought a wall charger for it hoping this would solve my issue. My issue is that all sudden it seems by noon I have half battery life and this is unacceptable. the guy at the shop played stupid when I asked why this is happening and that something must be wrong with the battery. my question, is my battery tapped already? if so what do I do to extend my battery life. I typically have been running .8/,9ohm coils I made myself. I ran the standard .5ohm for a day maybe a little longer. wtf? I had thought about buying 2 right from the start but most things I read say the battery should last at least a full day. I mean at work I cant just stop working to go charge my battery every 4 hours. did I buy the wrong battery? guy at the shop said this one THE one to use, best one he had, was I think $2 more then the other he had so idk?

2000mAh is kinda low, their are 3000mAh batteries out their that are rated at 20a. If you want to get more run time off a battery you should buy higher rated batteries.

Weather or not you can get a full day out of one of these is up in the air. What you should do is just by another battery you can keep around and switch out when the first one becomes empty. That's what most vapers do, have 2 batteries. 1 always charging while 1 always in use.

The one battery you have gets no rest time between charge and use or
between a discharged state onto the charger. At least 2 batteries should be used in rotation to allow for a little down time between charge/discharge cycle and between discharged/charge cycle.

It's simply been over-used.

Higher ohm coils turn watts into heat more efficiently than low ohm coils. I go for higher ohm coils so I can use lower watts so my battery lasts longer. My setup is in the signiture area below. An LG HG2 battery will go all day at my settings.

so thanks guys! I think my question is answered and it's probably one bit of info I forgot to add. I was vaping at first with the .5ohm coil, but the next day switched to 1.2/1.3ohm coils. then I had switched to .8/.9ohms for the slightly bigger clouds. and probably a combo of this and over usage. I cant belive I forgot this piece of the puzzle. been a weird few days, lol. I think I'll go back to a slightly higher ohms and get me another battery.
