This may be a stupid question, but I know very little about electronics and batteries. Will a dual battery mod last longer than a single battery mod? I'm not a fan of changing out batteries multiple times. I'm a chain vaper. If duals last longer, are there some small dual mods out there? Recommendations?

All else equal, yes, dual batteries will last longer.
Hi and welcome! Yes, a dual battery mod will run longer than a single. If you're vaping a high power all day (80-100W) you can even consider a triple battery mod.
Some choices for a dual battery would include several Smoant products like their Charon line and Battlestar. There are also nice mods from Minikin and if you're considering trying temp control, then a two battery Therion is a good option.

Usually two battery mods have better battery life, yes. As far as recommendations, are there other things you need it to do well, like TC? There are so many mods out there and it's hard to recommend something if you don't know what you need. Also, do you have a budget in mind?

#1 is a smaller form factor. I've never used temp control. No desire to at this point. And I def don't want to break the bank. Lol. I love my Smok Osub80mini. I just don't like changing the battery out. It's not really a problem, just an inconvenience. I might be having a little case of shinyitis as well 
I think you should check out some of the threads in the regulated mods section, to see if there's something you like. If you are looking for small form factor, you could check out this thread, to see what some of your options are (they aren't all two battery mods, but several are there). Little itty bitty mods under $100.

Definitely. Three battery mods last even longer, all assuming you have set the same watts on them. My Wismec Predator 228 is not a lot bigger than the batteries themselves, the smallest 2-cell machine I own. Another I like is the Vapor Flask. It's wider, but thin and curved so it fits neatly in a back pocket. Welcome to the board.
What about 26650 batteries? I was just looking at Vaporesso Nebula. It takes single 18650 or 26650.
Voopoo Drag (2 Samsung 25r) 45-55 watts with .4 coils lasts all day. All day for me is 5am to about 7-8 pm.
HCigar VT Inbox (1 Samsung 25r) at 45w with .48 coils lasts few hours. This is with slightly heavier use, but not anything close to what the Drag or Revenger manage.
To be fair I am playing with a new toy, and probably hitting the Inbox much more than I will once I've gotten used to sqonking.
Not that I believe it matters but using RDAs on both.

If form factor is a priority, look at the Tesla Wye. I've been holding off getting one since I don't have any reason to own it, but it's something like 66g without batteries and atty, has a great hand feel, and by many accounts, can take serious abuse. Form factor may be an issue if you tend to pocket your mods.

The Wye is light and while I loathe the way it looks, everyone I've talked to says it's a solid performer. It might be a good option, and Teslacigs products tend to vape well and to be of high quality (JMO) but I think that might be a good recommendation. Another I might make would be the aspire speeder, it's a 200 watt mod, and you'd get great battery life and most folks who have purchased one also like it. It seems to fit well in the hand (and possibly a pocket)??

Which batteries you choose is also an issue, of course. You may already have sorted out all your battery-related issues, but in case you haven't, the 18650s that are usually used for vaping range from 1500 mah to 3000 mah, although the wattage you vape at is also a factor in selecting a battery. You'll see batteries advertised with higher capacities, but they're lying.
It's best to pick your batteries from Mooch's recommend list, the latest version of which is always available here:

With 18650s, you can get up to 3000 mah per battery as long as you're keeping things under 50 - 60 W per battery. With the 26650s, you can get up to 4500 mah. Keeping to the 50 - 60 W limit, a 26650 might give you 1.5 x the capacity of an 18650. The down side to 26650s is that it's harder to find a reliable battery. They're only available from rewrappers, so you never really know if you're getting the ratings shown on Mooch's chart (and you can be pretty sure you're not getting the advertised ratings).
Agreed. I have a 2660 mod showing up at some point (the Ijoy Capitain, won it in a contest) and I'm interested to see the battery (it's a joytech I think) and how it handles. Should be interesting. Mine is arriving from China somewhere, so I'm not expecting it soon, but I am still super excited to try it. (And, probably, purchase a backup charger, LOL, I don't think my intellicharger will charge it, but I'm going to worry about all that when it arrives. I know, I know, but I have Amazon prime, it won't take long.... Just trying to delay my costs, LOL.)
Though I just spent under $110 buying two RTAs I've wanted (but put off until I was sure I could actually get ONE going nicely by itself, that happened yesterday, even refilling wasn't an issue-- ) and some other thing that's gonna be pretty awesome, I think. I have no buyer's remorse on this one, though I didn't make it to 6 months. Shocker. 
That's still FAR less than a month smoking for me, though I feel my smoking comparison is kind of inaccurate, since I didn't buy cartons (thank God) we used tubes, loose leaf tobacco (it's taxed differently) and an injector machine. I can only imagine what things would've been costing if I bought actual cigarettes, but, I'm still saving money. Yes.

26650s are an option as they provide ~4,000 mAh. However, they tend to suffer from battery sag as they discharge, so if you're looking to run higher wattage, like 50W, you're better off with 2 good 18650s.
