Today i went to vape and the battery was not heating up the juice sufficiently enough to get a hit. The battery Was very hot also. Spent all day at work tearing my hair out to come home to find it was drained. Charged it works fine. Only thing being was that it was fully charged when I tuck it to work this morning. Is the battery fried? May I add yesterday i never used to battery much at all and still charged it even tho the indicator says it was nearly full. Have I
Broke it by recharging it? I'm at work tomorrow again and am worried it will be dead when I want to use it.
Since charging it this evening I have chain vaped it to test it and it gives a good hit. Just concerned it won't last as long as it should. The battery is a removable 18650 li-on.

If the battery was getting hot something was stressing it. What device are you using and did you change that or fiddle with it? Sounds like something in your device of choice was shorting.

Charging the battery, even if it's mostly charged already, won't hurt it. Your concern lies with what is/was causing the problem of the battery getting "very hot" and your device not putting out vapor to begin with.

First, stop using it until you know what the problem is. It could be dangerous. These batteries should never heat up.

It could be a short in the device or what you have on top of the device. Give us more information. What is the power supply, the part you put the battery into? What juice delivery device are you using? Carto, clearo, etc. Pictures are sometimes a great help. Is everything mechanically OK or did you maybe drop it? If you could contact who you bought these items from they should also help you.

It's a rechargeable 18650 li-on battery what goes into a metal housing. No idea on the brand/ make. I have a 3.5 mil
Vivi nova with 1.8 coil in metal drip tip. It's my profile picture actually. A lot of metal! I'm vaping grizwalds gye 4. The battery is a 2200mah 3.7 volts. Seems to be working today. May have been a short being all metal in my work bag were a metal buckle is

I'm not sure that would have done it. Perhaps. Based on what you said about the combination of the battery getting hot and little vapor output it definitely sounds like the problem was a transient short in the Vivi Nova. Vivi Nova's are known to be fickle and the coils can short. Some times just unscrewing and screwing a Vivi coil head can correct a short. Even if you just tightened up the end caps that could have changed something. I would give the Vivi a good once over, make sure everything is tight, and see if it behaves itself. Just to be safe you may want to switch the coil.
