So I have a BSB. I've had it for near two weeks, and I got two batteries with it. They are UltraFire 18650 2400mAh 3.7v Lithium Ion batteries. Both were working fine up until a couple of days ago. One of them has stopped working. The other still works fine, so I've been down to one battery. This isn't something I like, I always want to have extra of something in case something happens. This is a good example of it I suppose, had I just had one battery then it could have been the one that has stopped working. Anyway, it reads as having a full charge on the charger, but when I put it into the PV, it doesn't work at all. It's as if nothing is hitting the atty. Yet the other battery still performs perfectly, so I'm assuming it's the one battery, not the PV itself.

Anyone know what this problem is and a fix for it? Or should I just order a new battery? I'll probably order a new battery anyway, just curious on what the problem is and if I can fix it.

Thanks!

I just bought two more from altsmoke.. since batteryjunction and china are closed atm...

Just wish I could find out what the deal is with this one battery. Worked fine, then all of a sudden didn't, and still reads a full charge. Wierd.
It is simple really, the PCB on the battery shut down. There is no safe way to "fix" that battery. I have some batts that last months, other weeks.

if the protection plate is blown the batt should still be good
you can buy another protection circuit and replace it
then replace the plastic protective sleeve

you might as-well dissect the old battery and you will see how they are built you can remove the plate and it then becomes a un-protected battery until you replace the circuit
btw Chad and Rob do not recomend using non protected batteries nor do i
