Battery problems in stingray clone

I have a stingray mod clone I'v had it for about a month now. I use green Sony vct batterys. I have four of them. One worked yesterday and I charged it while I was using my other battery. Then when the battery was done charging I checked the volts then popped it into my stingray like normal and it won't fire. I sat there and messed with the button for a good hour because I figured that was what was wrong with it, and made sure the battery was in the right way... Still it won't fire. So I took the battery out popped it into my nemis and it worked fine. My other battery works in the stingray I just can't figure out why that one won't. All four of my batterys work in my Nemesis and only two work in my stingray. The other one started having this problem about a week ago. If anyone knows what I could be doing wrong let me know. Thanks in advance

-Kirk

Oh yeah I forgot all the batterys are the exact same vtc from a reputable supplier

I have tried that iv tightened it down pretty hard, took the whole button apart and back together. Still nothing.

If u have the the concave contact version of the button it could be the bottom of the battery wrapper interfering with the connection sometimes. The contact should've been flat or domed, not concave, too much wrapper on the battery and it can't make contact.

If you reverse the battery will it fire?

Sounds weird, but try holding the mod horizontal, inserting the battery, then tightening the switch till it barely makes contact, and see if it will fire. If it will, you should be good, tighten it down. If it won't fire, gently shake the battery in the tube a little (still horizontal), and resnug the switch, repeat until it will fire.

The idea being, you're trying to get the circle of the battery wrapper and the circle of the contact area slightly offset from each other to allow proper contact.

I've had problems with only some batteries working in my stingray too. All same brand. Never found out what caused it but i just screwed it on tighter and it worked itself out.

Sure I don't mind. Unless they are personal, I don't see why you can't ask them here though. Might get more informed answers.

^This, plus this is a perfect opportunity to up your post count to gain access to rest of the forum.

No shame in asking questions here, we all started in the same spot.

Ask away!:vapor:

I didn't know if it was classified as spamming. Well im using a the torn atty and stingray clone. I have 22g 5 wrap kanthol duels in with cotton wick. I can't figure out how to get those massive clouds. Do you know what I could be doing wrong

22g is kinda thick. The lower the gauge and more wire you use the longer it is going to take to heat up. I like to use highest gauge/lowest wraps I can get away with usually 5 whim aps 28g-26g.

What ohm you aiming for?

.1 like it pulls decent vapor but it's nothing like whay you would see in a video or at a cloud comp

I can get massive clouds at .2 ohms and that is safer by massive I mean I haven't lost a contest yet even against guys with the .1 builds there's a technique to it that rip trippers put out on video although he went lower than anyone here well probably advise going. Happy vaping and good luck.
Can you send me a picture of your build and tell me which video it us from Rip?

The vtc the green wrapper is like messed up a little on the negative size where the button goes and I'm thinking that's why it won't fire. Is there a way to fix the green plasic/paper/ or whatever it actually is.

I would be very careful with battery with torn wrappers. To the point where I would just throw it away.

How do you post a picture from your phone on here i have an iPhone.

Scroll all the way down to the bottom of the page and click view full page. then click go advance near the posting box. Then click 1 and then 2 in my pic.
