I am trying to figure out why my auto battery is drawing really hard. If I try a carto on my pass thru or my man battery it seems to draw fine, but on my fully charged auto battery I have to really suck hard to get much vapor out of it??? Is my battery going bad already? I have just had it 2 months. Also I have one carto that I have only refilled once (did boil it out with others that work fine) the problem I am having with it is that with either the pass thru or man battery it does not seem to fire very good, on either one of batts you have to hold the button for about 8 sec to get anything out of it. Do I just have a bad carto?

Fold up a paper towel twice so you have a square, grab some isopropyl alchohol, dab it on the paper towel, and grab the thread with the paper towel making sure the alcohol dab is directly on the thread and twist. When done you will see some black stuff and know you did it right. After your done blow off excess alcohol. If this doesn't work try cleaning out the air holes on the battery with a tooth pick.

The circle groove in between the battery post and the threads probably has some built up gunk.. I take an old toothbrush and dip it into some iso alcohol, then push the battery onto the bristles and twist. That little black ring around the battery post should turn metallic again, and your battery should draw good as new.

Be careful not to drip any liquid down into the battery post (if auto). To help prevent this, always hold the toothbrush with the bristles facing up, and the battery vertically down while twisting.

Then clean the holes with a pin.

Can you poke in the holes with metal, or does it have to be non-metal object?

Do you remember dropping it or anything?[/QUOTE]

yes I did drop it once, but I don't remember the time if frame of it not working well was right after that, and I did not think two months was old for these batts, how long can I expect it to last?

Your battery probably just needs to be cleaned really well.
There is no set time frame on how long these things last.
My bf has a regular manual he has been using since at least October 09. He uses it everyday, and he has worn the v4l logos off of it, it was a black full logo batt and now you can only see the logos around the very top of it, and those are fading. He wants to see how long it will last!

I notice that the auto batts. tend to clunk out over a much shorter period of time than manuals,,most likely due to switch problems...Of the HUNDREDS or more dollars that I have spent at V4L I have only had 2 batts that did not live up to code,,the last a xl manual platinum......I did drop a note on my last order and they sent me a replacement,,,but I am really dumbfounded why they had to put a stamp on my invoice and highlight it with a return address to mail my DEFECTIVE batt?? I understand sending it back for manufacturing defect analysis or if someone were to ABUSE the return policy,,,,but this is only the second one that I have EVER asked to replace and I am expected to pay postage and send it back to them?!?!? REally don't understand with the "policy" and all being what it is and I understand the abusive nature of some customers,,,,but myself,,really,,didn't know I was a "moocher" just wanting to actually get what I paid for.....I mean with the countless order screw ups about 90 percent of the time,,,,I have always been patient and understanding and all but one time I even made ANOTHER order the next day or two and paid full price and shipping JUST TO GET WHAT WAS LEFT OUT in the first place and never grunted a complaint!! I understand business growth, human error, usps screw ups, and all that,,,,I guess I just feel like I am being punished for trying to get what I wanted and my own inconvenience and "treating them the way I want to be treated"....not acting like I am trying to steal something!!

This is true, it's just when you read over the policy while you are angry and get down to the part where it says that if you seem "trustworthy" that returning the defective item is not usually required, and you are someone like me that already has a "go out of your way to double make sure that everything you do is perfect for fear of being labeled, well, weird" complex,,,,I just feel like I wronged someone, even though I didn't, and I get mad at myself!..,.,. (See, I knew I was CrAzY!)
Don't most businesses want you to return defective merch before they send a replacement? I think they do. And usually the customer ends up paying the shipping on that. At least that's been my experience...

Anyway, I guess needing a good vent is just human nature, eh? ;)

Do you have a link to the return policy? I wasn't able to find it with a quick glance.
