Is My Carto Done???? 2 part question

Ok as many of you know I've had a pretty nasty sinus infection this week. I just got my kit a week ago and only vaped for 2 days before I got sick. Yesterday I was feeling good and decided to break out the cowboy carto, worked for a few puffs and then nothing....
I tried to taste that "burnt marshmallow taste" that it says in the guide...but I can't taste a damn thing since my sinus infection...
I put the carto on my other battery and nothing...I finally switched cartos but really wasn't getting much vapor either...is it my battery dying? or the carto? Oh, and I have the single logo auto reg batts.
Sorry, another question: if I wanna refill my cartos, should I even try it with my auto batts? or am I going to ruin my reg auto batts?

Try a freshly charged battery to see if that's the problem, and no, refilling your cartos won't ruin your auto-batts. Just be extra-cautious about over-filling so you don't get any juice down the hole.

I refill my carts with the auto batts, just make sure you give a little blow through it and dab off any excess liquid before hooking it back to the battery.. if you are getting nothing from the cart, it may be dried up (depending on how much you have used it).. but as far as refilling goes, its fine as long as you dont get juice into the hole in the battery.

and another side note about the battery, I have ran my auto batteries down to the point they need a recharge.. should produce vape until then.. (battery needs a recharge when the LED at the end blinks and you get nothing from the cart.

I think my RY4 is done, I finally have a taste of marshmallow when vaping my RY4 but it still produces lots of vapor...am I going to burn this carto up? Should it still produce vapor if the carto is done?
I'm vaping way more than I ever smoked, so I think it's time to put in a new order for Kants and RY4 premiums.

In my experience, yes - it will still produce vapor when it's done. In fact, sometimes, it seems the vapor gets MORE voluminous.

If you are tasting marshmallow, or anything 'off' at all (or if the flavor simply drops off) then the carto is done. It is possible to burn the filling material when it's dry, and the dropoff of taste is it's way of telling you to stop!

At that point, you can refill it with similar juice, clean it and refill with any juice, or toss it and grab a new one.

It's all part of the natural learning curve, and it will become routine for you soon enough!

I tend to top mine up as soon as they get to that point. They'll produce vapor well into tasting burny, so don't feel like you have to "drain it down" or anything.

You might have been having a hard time detecting the flavor change because of the infection. Scent is a huge component in flavor, and if your sense of smell was compromised, it may have been masking that tell-tale taste.

A lot of the flavors are really scent-based for me. I can taste the strawberry best when I exhale through my nose. It's like you can taste the seeds and all!

Yeah, that's what worries me: the fact I'm just getting over a sinus infection and just today starting to get my sense of taste and smell back. I think I will make these cartos my taking them apart and experimenting around with them to see exactly what they look like like inside and seeing if they are burnt when I think they are burnt. I planned on ordering some kants and RY4 cartos along with liquid for each and make those cartos the ones that I start refilling.
