Okay so I was messing around I thought I had the wrong pair of batteries because I had one in my dripbox that I thought went in my alien well when I went to change the batteries and close the battery door the atomizer started to smoke without closing the battery door and I did not have my hand on the fire button. But I put the right battery back in and it worked fine . So should I get new batteries or no I have lg 18650 3.7 and 3000 mah running at 50 and all my mods have them in them which all are around 50-60 watt is max I have them on

You may have cooked tge batteries. For safety replace. Having ca battery go BOOM is not a good career move
If I understand correctly, you had a Dripbox 60 auto fire on you? I think that's a known issue and a fault of the mod not the battery. I haven't read of any fixes other than buy a new mod.

i'm confused... there's 3 dxripboxes... 60, 2, and 160... aliens are usually dual battery... which did what?
So I had two batteries in my alien that were already a pair, I had a battery in my dripbox that I thought was the pair to my alien. I went to take out the dripbox mod battery and place it in with my alien. Problem was when I went to close the battery door I happen to see smoke come out of the atomizer without hitting the fire button as well as without turning on the mod
okay... are you saying it was auto-firing with batteries already in it or when you switched... sorry i'm still confused.
let me put it this way, you CAN place an unmarried set of batteries in the alien and even temp it shouldn't cause harm.

2 questions here because I am also a bit perplexed.
1. Were the batteries installed correctly? Polarity?
2. Did you make a connection with the battery door or did this happen before you made the connection?

The alien did fire before the mod turned on even though I took the batteries out while the mod was on. And yes they were installed correctly . It happened when I closed the battery door
okay i have the habit of squeezing the mod and with the way the button is, any chance you did that while getting the door closed?
No I did not get the door fully shut but I could have but I vaped on it last night and I could have hit the button it was late but I did just vape on it and the batteries were not hot at all or acting up.
A married set of batteries is just a married set and they do not need to be used in the same MOD only kept together as the same pair or set of three even four. And I find it odd that the Alien would fire as mine will not fire unless it is completed booted up after 5 clicks of the fire button.
I never said that but as long as you were using a married set that wasn't a problem. The MOD firing as soon as you closed the cover is a concern I would address. From what I know about my Alien something went on. Need more information and more testing.
Ok so basically I switched out my battery for my posters be port in the alien and switched it with my dripbox after I switched the two the alien went off as in fired without me hitting the fire button unless I accidentally hit the button but the battery's themselves looked fine as in no marks or anything
That what I can't comprehend how the Alien fired closing the door. It take a few seconds to completely boot up unless maybe you didn't press the button 3 times and navigate to power off when you thought you shut it off. 5 Clicks to turn on but 3 to turn off with selection of power and off to shut down.
