Sounds as though, you bought a low Q battery and charger!

Why don't you tell us what battery name , capacity, charger name and what is on the label of the charger u=for us to give you better understanding of what problem you may be having.

For all we know, you have something that don't work correctly according to you.

Cheers

Lithium Ion batteries are not created equal. Generic non-brand-name batteries are going to perform poorly. They are unknown batteries made by unknown manufacturers and of unknown quality. They are most often the rejects of other companies that make batteries or rebrand them. It's recommended to purchase only widely recognized name-brand batteries like AW, MNKE, Panasonic, Sanyo, and Sony. Avoid Trustfire, Ultrafire, and Surefire brands, as they are a lower-quality, second-tier battery.

I recently did much research into the batteries that we use in our mods, and condensed the information learned in this guide:

Battery Basics for Mods: IMR or Protected?

I ordered Panasonic batteries that are blue in color and are 18650 on eBay for about 6.50 usd shipped. I hope I'm not umping the gun and getting ripped off.

The retailer held onto my vaporizer over night and couldn't get the batteries to charge either. He told me that I need new batteries, and refused a refund. (Discount cigarettes in Stockton CA) avoid them at all cost please.

The employee took my carbamizer tank apart and spilled all of my e-juice, after I asked him 3 times if I could siphon the juice back into my bottle. then he refused to replace it (the tank was full)

Well you shouldn't run your 18650 completely dead. You should only run it down to 3.6-3.8 volts, then throw it on the charger.

I've only had it for 2 days.

And am I expected to take the battery out periodically to check the remaining voltage?

I just have the factory charger. Any recommendations?

If you are using a mech, yes check your batteries, after awhile you should be able to tell they are getting low by the quality of the vape.

As for how far to run them down, most APV's shut off in the 3.4 range. But charging them in 3.6 to 3.8 range is a good idea, especially with a mech.

As for the charger, some of the cheap ones work fairly decent, it is hit and miss with them. When they work good, they still take quite awhile to charge. Two reasonably priced and highly regarded chargers are the Xtar line, and the Nitecore line. Batteries, AW are held in high regard, I have quite a few Efest, decent, but not AW. Panasonic makes some good batteries, they just have so many different ones it can get mind boggling.

These are the only name-brand, high-quality 18650 batteries that I recommend that you purchase in the future. I've done a lot of research into batteries recently, and only these are listed by the battery experts to be used safely in our mods:

AW IMR
18650 2000mah 10A
18650 1600mah 24A

Panasonic or Orbtronic hybrid
CGR18650CH (IMR-Li Ion hybrid) 2250mAh 10A
NCR18650PD (high drain-high capacity) 2900mAh 10A
NCR18650B (high drain-high capacity) 3400mAh 10A

Samsung hybrid (LiNiCoMnP)
INR18650-20R 2000mah 20A

MNKE IMR
IMR18650 1500mah 20A

Sony IMR
us18650v3 IMR 2250mAh 10A

EFEST IMR
18650 2000mah 10A

Do not just buy random batteries online from places like Ebay, Amazon, or Fastech. You can easily end up with un-protected li-ion batteries if you don't know what you are looking for. The above batteries are safe for mods. Pay attention to the brand and model numbers. Avoid lesser name brand batteries like Trustfire, Ultrafire, and Surefire. Do not buy generic batteries, they are castoffs rebranded from rejects from other companies.
