Lithium batteries are disposable, typically used in consumer electronics for long life, similar to alkaline batteries. Li Ion batteries are made differently, and are rechargeable. Don't confuse the two, since they're very different.

Often Lithium Ion batteries are simply called Lithium by some suppliers and manufacturers so be sure to check that they are the rechargeable variety or not

Some are lithium ion, some lithium polymer

Is lithium-ion the ideal battery?

Wow, this is confusing stuff. But thanks for clarifying some of these things for me. The batteries at the following link are 16340's, but don't tell what their mAh is and only the last one says it's rechargeable. Which would you buy for your PV? Does anyone else that you know of have them cheaper?

I would never get anything from DinoDirect. They have more complaints then some places have customers. Although they are listed as being in CA, most of what you buy from them gets drop shipped from China.

Pay a little more but buy with complete confidence here, and get it much faster.
