Battery question

Was looking for some Sony 30 amp 18650's.....

Are there knock-offs ? I got one at the local B7M for $14.00 but it was their last one. So I looked online and see some for $14.99-$16.00 (for 2). Then see a pair for like $10.00 Did I just pay that price because it was at a B&M, or does that sound right ?


When it comes to sticking it in my face.....I want a battery I can trust...


Sorry for all the posts lately. I just would rather NOT learn from my own mistakes on some things !

You're almost always going to pay more at a B&M than you will online due to the cost of running a physical storefront. As an example, VTC3's are running $14-$15 a piece where I am and I've been buying the VTC4's online for $7.50-$8 with just ~$2 shipping. I shop around, look at vendor reviews and make a decision. If I need it now, I'll visit the B&M near me. If I don't, I'll order online and have it here in 2-4 days.

I'm far from cheap, but 2x VTC4's for $18 beats $30 any day; I can wait the extra day or two .


As for knock-off's - I have seen past issues with mislabeling and re-casing batteries, but as long as you go with someone you trust and someone that others vouch for as well, this shouldn't be an issue.

So Illumination Supply is one of those "trusted "places ?

Is the Sony 30 amp the best/safest battery to use in a mod ?

Sounds to me like it could be right for a B & M. I've bought Sony VTC3 and VTC4 at Illumination Supply for about $9 a piece and they have been legit. I paid about $12 a piece for 18650 MNKE last year.

Illumination Supply, Orbtronic and RTD Vapor are known good battery suppliers who will not sell you counterfeits. There are a bunch of others that are good too, but there are also a bunch that are bad. I don't buy batteries from anyone who I'm not sure are safe.

Okay, so NOWHERE in the world has Sony 18650's. What is another GOOD battery for RDA's ?

I was coming back to this thread to ask if anyone has dealt with them before ? They were the only "Vaper" store I found to have any, so I ordered 2.
