AW 18490 IMR battery being carried as a spare battery in a back pack which "vented". Most likely it came in contact with something metalic in the pocket.
AW IMR battery which vented gas hot enough to do the above damage.
ICR battery which vented to cause the above fire.
The above "protected" ICR Trustfire battery vented in my first mechanical mod when the fire button became compressed continuously in a pants pocket hanging in a locker at work, over-discharging the battery and causing it to go into thermal runaway. The mod was too hot to touch, burnt the pants, and ruined the mod. I considered myself lucky to find the situation when I did, or a bad fire could have been started.
