Found this on another website.
Is this true for the automatic G6 batteries:
Automatic Battery – Slightly unscrew the battery from the cartomizer every timeyou’re finished vaping or otherwise using your device. Leaving these components connected tightly will drain your e-cig battery much quicker. While we recommend you do this for long-term storage (i.e. more than a few hours), it should always be done if you have an automatic battery.

I'm not exactly sure on the details, but there has to be some sort of sensor that detects a pressure differential when drawing the cartomizer or tank in order to activate the battery. If you're moving a lot with the battery in your pocket or something, you could potentially activate it unintentionally which would drain the battery and use up liquid. I've never had this problem with my G6 nor any other automatic batteries, but it could potentially happen.

Well, my mother will use up a battery and mini tank in about 5 hours.
I always have a couple charged batteries, with full mini tanks attached, on standby.
I was just wondered if keeping them with the mini tank attached was a problem.
They rarely go more than a day before being used and then go through a recharge cycle and mini tank refill.

Doctordun I never noticed any decrease in battery life between my manuals or automatic batteries and I never unscrew my cartos between puffs. The battery doesn't activate or fire until you draw air through it.

I've been warned strong wind can cause your automatic batteries to fire but I've never had it happen to me on windy days. ;)

I was experimenting one day and discovered that if you blow sharply into the tip with your mouth away from it (don't ask me to "go on...") the sudden change in air pressure activates the battery all the way to cutoff.

its all for good measure

in a technical standpoint, it is NOT always constantly draining power.

from a personal use point of view, with my automatic ego batteries, there have ben time when i went outside into the cold and my battery has activated in my pocket due to change in pressure. (as some one mentioned above, if you blow into the battery end, it will "funk" with the pressure switch and cause it to activate untill the puff cutoff timer activates) - so its all up to you weather or not you want to unscrew it
