LOL...you guys are pulling something....

:)

Where is the OP aka Moon or is it Swanni???

It's your thread so please tell us if we can "exspand" it? LOL Any other thoughts? I promise to limit any responses I may have to no more than 10K words. I can always find the time to try and help others because WE are all on a journey and WE all learn.

"flavor-whoring is great." I'm close behind at DIY-whoring.

LOL. I work on the weekend and I have a lengthy commute, so my response is a tad delayed. hehe

We can expand this as far as it will go.

Long posts are good. I can write novels and try to limit myself.

Off to comment on the other posts.

I cut most of this post, but here it is. :)

No Inhale Discovery
Lung hit - now that's a good way to describe it. My technique is similar to yours and I'm starting not to inhale (yeah I know) every time. Since I don't "need" a throat hit, I’m finding I don’t need to inhale.

Nicotine Thing
Keep in mind I don't know jack and just using common sense and the experience so far.
Nicotine may be tasteless but there is something going on with other elements of the juice and/or mouth; I not talking about the irritation in the throat. But the question is "what is reality" and "what is perception ". For example, here is another discovery/change on the journey. My Tribeeca at 0mg and 6mg tastes good; however, 16mg tastes like "BAM". The 16mg appears to be older, judging by color and dates on the bottle, so its not a “age issue” (heheh). It's almost like my body says "WOAH, way too much nicotine stop now" and the result is a lack of the delicate notes. So what I've learned is too much nicotine will be perceived as muted flavor due to the body being overloaded. It's an interesting experience but not my main concern.

My concern is weight. I don't need nicotine but I find myself more-and-more reaching for the nicotine juices because of weight/density. This wasn’t the case until I starting tasting the nic juices; oiye, a little step back for me. I want to try cinnamon and clove juices but the Halo plastic tanks are an issue. True, I could fart around with other tanks but I rather buy a Vamo or an iTaste MVP, but the iTaste VV 10S is more my form factor (small). I assume I would get more heat from these. The Provari is way too much, at least that it what I'm telling myself. Hehe But, when my first Triton battery dies I will be getting the Triton VV for sure. I’ll wait to buy a big boy until I get this all figured out. I think the big boys will help better with 0 nic issues though.
Anyway, I have to go night-night. Check everyone later.

Moon, I'm right there with ya! I still love my little tanks and carts for the flavor-whoring I tend to do...new juice from MBV at least once a week at this point. Not sure I'll ever run out of stuff to try!

:: High Five ::

I'm so glad I'm not the only one. I'm was feeling like a wimp. They are baby tanks compared to the Triton but just work better for me. Plus you they are cute; yeah boys, I said cute! Anyway, I just bought a blue battery to use with my black cartomizers. They look snazzy. I didn't need a battery and did it for superficial reasons.

Moon Swanni is BACK! :)

:rickroll:

On your NIC thing: Thanks for sharing and too much NIC via vaping is an issue I also encountered and I'm confident many others have also experienced this issue in various forms like the 16MG story you told us. Before I launch into my manifesto lol I want to make an issue very clear. This is the Halo Forum. Period. Some issues should not be discussed in this Forum and I should know this because once I got into trouble. Halo produces QUALITY JUICE and has been doing it since 2009. They are one of only a handful of Rock Stars in a sector filled with hundred of juice selling competitors. Much of which is rebranded junk that funky duck juice company does not even mix. I've done my research and experienced all of this first hand so Halo is ALWAYS my go to first recommendation for newbies. One stop shopping is not only unique but a very very valuable eco system. I will not waiver in my thoughts for newbies. I will get VERY vocal. I don't care what you were told at the fly by nite smoke shop or vapor/head shop. Just do it. :) and listen to the guy with most of his gray hair or come to ECF and learn. OK I have enough brownie points LOL so I can step down from my soapbox. Apologies for this. My summary:

- Read every word in this post twice: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-liquid-discussion/230570-wta-e-liquid-issues.html

- WE are in a bubble and one of many implications is that WE STILLhave much to learn about vaping, the interaction of this or that, what are we vaping, and how it effects the "norm", a particular segment, etc

- Early on I was at 18MG. One AM I fell in love with a juice and could not stop vaping it. Chain vape for like two hours non stop. Tasted yummy every second. BINGO! At the end I was jumpy, my hands were shaking, a car drove by and I jumped of the ground. Again, for me that juice taste was always yummy. Scared the hell out of me. I literally RAN to the gym to fatigue and dilute my screwed up body. Lesson learned. OUCH! Take away at 18MG: shorter vape sessions. Much shorter. Within a month I moved DOWN to 12MG and all is well. My AM rotation is 4 different tobacco kinda juices all at 12MG. After lunch I'm always at 6MG till my eyes close for beddy buy. I have a few multi NIC mixes, one mix for the AM/12 and the same juice for the PM/6. Southern Classic is set up this way and two others I can't talk about . LOL

HTH

:vapor: :2cool: ;)

LOL.

Not too sure what the disclaimer thingy was about (or perhaps I do), but I would be all up for Halo to come out with a clove or cinnamon flavor. I have purchased enough juice to last me a good three to six months. So I'm good for some time. hehe

In one of these threads, a rep from Halo stated they were listening to customers regarding tanks. But at the moment, the Triton is my second vaping device. I primary use the G6; it reminds of pixie sticks for some reason.

Short night - gotta go.

I'm loving this thread. :)

Of course we have yet to discuss exactly how we vape which has a impact on the juice taste. My thoughts subject to your thoughts. ECF has a video somewhere which is about how to vape and is a good start but not the entire story. You should NOT vape the same way you smoked analogs so it takes a little practice. Assume for a moment we are talking about the same juice, the same delivry device which for me is always a tank and some incarnation of bat with VV or a mod weather you call it a Triton system or the wild and crazy ProVarinatti fan boys :)

1. I like to press the fire button first to heat the juice and insure the wicks/coil/head is all happy and ready for my vape. I always due this.

2.Sometimes a draw and exhale only through my nose

3. Sometimes a draw and a cheek hold. Vaper is held in my mouth so very little enters the room when I exhale

4. Sometimes a draw, a shorter cheek hold and a conscious pull to my lungs. So in this case a TH is kinda a misnomer for me as I prefer to call it a THLH lol. I want a LUNG HIT. lol

Great point. Personally I only inhale; after 20 years of smoking cigarettes, it just isn't in me to use my Triton as if it were a pipe or a cigar. I also don't exhale through the nose. I do try to practice good vaping habits otherwise, though -- firing the button before bringing the PV to my mouth, holding the vapor in the mouth for an extra couple of seconds before inhaling, and so on. My method does not deviate throughout the day, and that brings me to your next point:

And here is when I use 2-4. Numero 4: Once I reach vertica (wake up)l I want coffee and a LUNG HIT and I better get it or I'm a basket case for the day. During this AM session I'm not interested in savoring the subtle tones or dancing bears. Just give me the predominant flavor and take it to my lungs. O please God just due it.

After I've eaten breakfast and throught the day hardly any #4 technique. At this time of the day it's more about the flavor and dancing notes. The subtles and yummie ness so I don't desire constant lung hits on every draw but maybe every 10 draws.

Late PM after my dinner and my system is getting ready for beddy by I due a lot of 2 to savor those subtle notes and dancing drunk women in Vegas casinos. The other half is Numero 3.

I found this account fascinating, because although my vaping methodology doesn't waiver throughout the day, my appreciation for (or perhaps my capacity to detect) the vapor's flavor grows much much stronger the longer I'm awake. In the morning, I either can't taste or don't care enough to notice the flavor. But by the time I should be going to sleep, I find myself staying up because the vapor is so damn delicious I can't put it down. :)

Couldn't agree more. Halo is far from the cheapest option, but for OCD-prone newbies like me, there's immeasurable value in simplicity and reputability (reliability). If I'd waited to study all of the available options and learned how to mix-and-match hardware for the best value and whatnot, I'd still be smoking.

Can't say that people who are more hands' on are wrong; it's just that the transition from smoking to vaping is too important to distill the search for your first PV into a strict cash-value proposition.

.

I second this. I am right now happily vaping my Halo G6. I have the mini tanks waiting in my mailbox for my next step down the rabbit hole and into the world of vaping. I've already got my eye on the Triton. As soon as I have the $$$ I will be getting that and the Triton tanks. One step at a time. But, Halo is a great company with great products. I spent enough time just coming to that conclusion and if I had kept researching at the rate that I was, I would definitely still be a smoker. The Halo G6 has kept me off cigarettes for almost 4 weeks now, so I'm one satisfied customer.
