I recently bought 2 samsung inr 18650 25r's and placed them both in my trustfire 001 charger. They were in there for about 2 hours then I realized that the light was still red, I waited a little longer till one of them went orange which is the color it turns when it's almost done. It then sat for another 30 minutes and didn't turn green. So I decided to use it. I fired it and my mod started getting hot. So I took the battery out and put it outside it cooled off now but I'm not ever gonna touch it again. However the other one still wouldn't charge completely and now my aw's won't charge either. I'm not sure what the hell is going on exactly...

Never skimp on a charger or batterys. Nitcore i4/d4 or the two bay versions, Pila IBC, something X Tar or the Luc by E Fest even. Not trustfire. It can damage cells or worse. Also its possible your batteries are fake. Illumnationsupply has the best stuff. You can get 10 VTC4s and two of the older model Nitcore i4 chargers for around $100 and ifs all authentic. Thats s great and really nessacary purpose depending on what set up you use.

Whoa.

I fired it and my mod started getting hot.

What mod? Was this actually a mechanical - since these days everyone seems to be calling everything and anything not an eGo battery "a mod." If you fired a device and it imediately starts getting hot that indicates a problem with the device - not the battery. Like a short in your atty.

Depending on what version of a TR001 you have - since Trustfire keeps reinventing the circuit board but they all have the same model number - it could take up to 16 hours or more to fully charge the batteries you have. Expecting any TR001 to charge an 18650 battery in less than three hours is wholly unrealistic.

Even then, an under-charged battery didn't create the symptoms of a shorted mechanical PV.

Guys... I figured it out... I feel so stupid. I could have just lost my face but I had NO idea that the samsungs were flat top and I had my hybrid adapter on. So ...... off I just wasted 8 bucks, I was in such a rush when buying them AND when finally using them that it didn't even dawn on me to check what KIND of top the batteries had.
I use a stingray x mod. And I think I'll stick with my AW's. They are the only ones that are trustworthy from what I've heard even the Sonys aren't made my Sony. I get all my batteries from Rtdvapor.com
