Here's a great tip I'd like to share, but all I use is the manual ones. I'm not sure it will work with autos, and I'm not sure it will help consistently. I think it will, just not sure because I just found out.
I'm only screwing the carto just tight enough to make the electrical contact, and then just ever so slightly past, to barely tighten it. I really rather have it tight, at least when driving or when I can't continuously tend to it. Is it possible that this new way I'm trying really is helpful? So far the last few hours it seems so, anyway, to me.
"helpful" to what end? Gunking up the threads faster? Absolutely. It won't run as hot and therefore will vaporize less completely. (increased resistance at the connector)
