So I just received my Vamo v2. It's dope... First mod, and I did alot of research prior to both purchasing the APV as well as the batteries and charger.

So my few questions; I guess it's more for preventative measures then issues per se, but here goes.

1) I read it's not adviseable to carry around spare batteries in your pocket. So my question is, I am using the vamo with a single efest 18350. I have a spare battery i'd like to be able to access later in the day. So if it's not wise to carry in my pocket, I can't see it would be wise to leave in my car (esp. during the summer) So what is the best method to keep a spare on hand while I am either out and about or at work? I guess at work I can just bring in the office, but sometime's i'm driving around all day.

2) Upon taking the battery off the charger (xtar wp2ii) I put it in the vamo and it reads 4.3v I understand there is most likely a margin of error in these things, but is that OK?

3) Is it ok to leave the battery on the charger while I am out or sleeping? I have read various answers to this..

4) When sleeping or not in use, is it OK for the battery to remain in the APV? Or do I need to take it out and put it back in every night for example?

Last but not least,

5) Is it OK to use the battery immediately after charging? Again, I have read various answers. Some say its fine some say it is not.

All feed back is appreciated!

Thank you -Jon

If you do not have a proper carrying case, put 'em in a baggie in your pocket

Don't worry about it the Xtars do not overcharge

Short answer NO. Never leave a battery unattended.

4) When sleeping or not in use, is it OK for the battery to remain in the APV? Or do I need to take it out and put it back in every night for example?
Not necessary, but if it makes you feel better, unscrew your atty a turn or so

Last but not least,

No, Let it rest for 10 to 15 minutes. I have a battery organizer that is set up to accept batteries off the charger and they do not see my device for a day or so. If you cannot do thid, you don't have enough spare batteries. The life you save may be your own, and at the end of the day, what is $10

I'm gonna have to debate that...

While I would tend to agree that it is probably a VAMO error, it should be verified that it is indeed the VAMO reading high. I'd hate to brush this off as the VAMO's error when his batteries could actually be overcharged. Certainly wouldnt be the first battery charger that was a little off.

Short answer NO. Never leave a battery unattended.
Short answer is "No". The long answer its "No, BUT..."

Who has the time to wait around the house for hours waiting on a battery. Not many, it's impractical. After the trust that the charger is working as it should is established, I'm not waiting around for something that has similar odds to the lottery. That's just my perspective, and only the person asking the question can truly answer it for themselves. There is no absolute answer that applies to all.

I've heard this a lot too. If anyone can explain why (from a technical perspective) a person should let their battery rest after charging, I'll explain why it is a silly recommendation.
