Battery recomendation help

Hoping to get some help buying some new 18650 batteries. I would like something that would last longer.

I use a e-lvt. Vape at 15 watts and 1.5ohm single coil kayfun. I'm currently using LG he4 18650 batteries.

If there is something better out there that will hold a full charge longer, I would be interested.

Those are pretty good batteries, the Samsung 25r batteries are AWESOME to.

How long are your HE4's lasting?

There is no "published" data sheet on them yet (that I know of). Because they were just released for the first time in Germany in December.
Most of what I've seen for specs so far are just HE2 specs. I've also heard that the HE4 is an effort by LG to resolve the problem of the HE2 breaching 100 degrees c at 20 amp, and that the HE2 will be discontinued.

To be honest about it, 2500mAh is a good number for a 18650 INR cell tho'. Expecting more is just a pipe dream.

The only way to get a real jump in mAh would be to use UNSAFE lipo, or ICR/NCR cells.

Do you notice any difference when charging with the usb cable compared to removing the battery to charge?

I don't care for onboard chargers like the e-lvt has because you tend not to cool out the battery properly before & after charging.

IMO a person is far better off using three batteries in rotation, one charging, one in use, and one resting.

Thanks Tj. I actually bought a nitecore i2 last night. All I have right now is the onboard charging and 2x LG batteries. I'll test out the nitecore when it comes in. If I need to, I'll buy some more batteries.

At 1.5ohms and 15 watts you should be getting far more run time from a 2500mAh battery. Are you sure the batteries you're using are authentic? I'm using a mech mod with dual coil Magma at 0.5ohms (35 watts), and get ~5 hours run time from a 2500mAh battery. With a regulated mod I get 6+ hours run time. I've used many different batteries in the past but only use the 20 amp Samsung 25R's these days which have the same capacity as the LG HE2/HE4 (2500mAh). With a 2900mAh capacity, Panasonic's NCR18650PF can handle 10amp continuous discharge (great for >1ohm), but in truth the difference in run time over the HE4 would only be about an hour. There are many counterfeits on the market these days, re-wrapped ****fire batteries posing as Sony, Panasonic, LG and Samsung. Only buy batteries from a reputable vendor, I use Illumn.

Thanks Str8vision. That could actually be a possibility since I bought them from eBay. The seller had good feedback, so I assumed it was fine. Is there a site where I can check the authenticity of my batteries?

The other option would be to invest in a dual battery mod. I'm essentially a chain vaper at this point and I get a solid two days of vaping on a Sigelei 100W Plus.

Best batteries IMO are the Sony VTC5. They can be a bit tricky to find but the VTC3s and 4s which I would consider the 2nd and 3rd best are not hard to find. Illuminationsupply or whatever the site is now called is amazing for authentic batteries. I just found out about it but my uncle (a flashlight fanatic) has been using them for years and when he saw my charger with 18650s being charged told me about it. You can get VTC4s on there for less then 9 bucks (2100mah.) After that my next choice is the Samsung 25R BUT the Sonys have a 30 amp rating so I use them in everything (even if its not pulling that amount of amps or close to it I still like the security, and no one can tell me Sony isn't an amazing battery)

I would NEVER trust ebay I don't care if the pope gives them good feedback. Before finding illumn and ordering 20 VTC4s for dirt cheap I bought VTC4s from a store that dealt in flashlights and the likes. I know they were authentic but they were $15 bucks (almost double what I got em for from illumn.) My point is I would rather pay more for a reputable product. Google illuminationsupply and order some 2100mah VTC4s IMO, the price really can not be beat. I passed along my older VTC4s to my brother and will be using the new ones myself. I LOVE that site so much. For a bit more then $200 bucks I got 20 2100mah VTC4s 40 pieces of pre cut shrink wrap and 2 nitecore i4 chargers, there the 2014 edition and not digital but for $14 bucks I got two.

Yes, the VTC5s are apparently really hard to find. The only difference as far as I can tell is 500mah and while I would like to have some VTC5s for my single cell devices I really couldn't care less to be honest. I am so happy I found that site, its damn cheap (for my vendors that I know sell authentic at least, I am in Canada)

When you order them Sonys order some shrink wrap as well if you don't have some in case any batteries get dinged up. I know it can be had for much cheaper then the ten cents per pre cut piece on illumn (that's there name currently) but it is really nice thick stuff compared to the garbage I got from FT so I really don't care. I only need like 40 pieces on deck at a time to feel happy and secure and $4 doesn't really bother me even though I could have many a feet for that price I really feel good about the quality of this wrap.
