Battery Safety and eGo-C batteries

I recently purchased an eGo-C from an authorized distributor and I am questioning it's safety.I searched on the forum but I wasn't able to find any information about the protection circuitry used in the battery. Did anybody disassemble a battery (specifically eGo-C battery) and inspect it?
