Hmm that's a little disconcerting. The writing on mine is much fainted and appears to be beneath the wrap, and the bar code is not directly next to the writing. Although lining up the writing and the bars code could depend on how it is wrapped. I got these from ecig avenue? Should I be concerned?
Probably relevant, one battery appears to be working fine, but the other one charged to a full charge on my intellicharger, then when I put it in my mod it instantly showed 50% battery life. Then, after probably 12 pulls at 75 watts my mod said "check battery" and it showed no battery life.

As you can see in my pictures, the printing is done on the "can" itself. Your battery does the same...good. 
I think you're right about the code alignment as I've seen it in different places on different VTC4's.
There are differences in the way the text/icon aligns between our two batteries though...not good.
And what happened to your second battery is worrying. Do you have another charger you can use? Or charge it in the mod this one time?

I'm recharging it in my intellicharger and vaping using the one battery which is behaving normally.
It was the first time I used the battery, and the first time I used the mod (sig 75), so at least I'm regulated. But this is my first external battery so obviously anything outside the norm is somewhat disconcerting.

Do you have any opinion on the battery authenticity issue I brought up above? They're from ecig avenue if that makes any difference.
@Mooch is the authority on those. I don't have any. I use Samsung 25R and AW 2200mAh 20A.
I would not buy batteries from a vape supplier though.

If you plan on going over 50W the VTC4 is really the only battery to use.
Wow that is dirt cheap, I paid $11 each for mine. Are you suggesting that site is more reputable than ecig avenue?
