I've got a Guppy and currently 2 AW IMR 16340 batteries, which I know are the most recommended. Atmizoo also claims that the AW ICR16340(RCR123A) protected batteries can be used to. I know there has been a movement away from protected batteries, but they can still be used safely correct? I was looking around and found the Solarforce RCR123A batts with 880maH, 3.7V 16340. Could these be safely run somehow in a Guppy? Is it not worth the risk and should I just stick with my AW IMRs?

Hi, I just bought a VS RDNA 40 and it comes with an LG 2500mah 35A 18650 Battery. Do you recommend me to purchase and use the rdna 40 with a Sony US 18650 VTC4 2100mah 30A? or any better recomendations? I just want to be safe.

For that mod, the LG is perfectly fine with its 35A burst and 20A continuous. Below 15watts an AW IMR or other below 15A battery will safely power that mod, above 15watts, then 20A plus is required, with 40watts yeah to give an extra safety margin then a Sony VTC will be more safe.

That battery is actually 20 amps continuous and that is just fine in that mod. It will also last a bit longer on a charge than the VTC4, as will the Samsung 25R.
