Battery Shelf Life

I'd guess around a year or two. My inferno batteries are rated for something like 200 recharge cycles so I would assume that your batteries in daily rotation would crap out long before your spares. You know what they say about assumption though...
It's always been a habit that as soon as I get a new battery, charge it up and put it into rotation. I was just thinking of getting 2 or 3 more for Justin ( just-in-case )
With the games the FDA seems to waste our $$'s on I plan to stay 6+ months ahead of any obstacles, including all my DIY juice(s) AND hardware. In time I'll prolly acquire a juice box with replacable batteries and atty's.
No kidding! Now, if that time ever comes, watch - they'll be trying to make batteries as hard to buy as cold medicine! You'll have to sign for those AA's my friend, and I'm sorry, but you cannot buy more than 2 8packs per month... We KNOW you're using them to heat up liquids and inhale them!
One key to long life is to never let them fully drain to zero. It's been know to kill some lithium ion batteries.
The internal circuity (fire-switch) should not allow discharge below an acceptable re-charge level.
Yes but that does not take into account long shelf time starting with that batt at a discharged state. You'll could still get natural loss below the clamp point I believe.
So what you're saying is it would be best to do a full charge on them before putting them away.
