Thanks to this forum and the vids on you tube I still am using my REO mini. It was quite the scare this morning when i saw sparks every time i pressed the fire button. My first thought was Danger Danger! But then i calmed down and did a spark search of the forum and watched a few vids to learn about cleaning and maintaining my mod.

It was very easy to do BUT i have a question on why the contact is pointed? In my Vmod it is a flat connection. I wonder why the REO is different. There must be a reason.

Thanks for all the info here. I even watched a vid by a reviewer who recommended this forum because it is so good.

Yes, i am proud to be a REO owner and a member here even though I don't post much.

Nice work on researching and solving your problem . You always welcome to pm email or call me if you ever have a ? I am happy to help .
When I built the first mechanical mods I did use a flat positive contact . It was inconsistent after allot of experimenting I found the point on the positive contact to be much more reliable and easy to maintain

Thanks, now i know about the point :)

I like to look up answers but if i can't find or understand them then i will ask for help.

I was having the same problem last week. Even though I clean my Grand every week or two, I guess it needed a little extra attention. Congrats on your fix!
