you don't want protected batteries. that's usually a sign of dangerous chemistry battery. You'd be better with a separate fuse, they are more reliable.

For the 18650, sony US18650VTC4 or VTC5. For the 18350, AW IMR 700mah. I would trust no other batteries.

It sounds like you need to do some more reading before you jump into mechs. Baditude will be along soon with some reading material for ya

it's all about sony vtc4's I understand there is a 5 out there but I thought I read it's for 26650 mods. You are going to want to look for ICR (LiCo02) and IMR(LiMn) some other brands are MNKE, Efest. You will want to be careful with the batteries so do some research online google or whatever.

this is rife with misinformation and I have to set it straight.

Sony US18650VTC5 are an upgrade to the VTC4 and are the same size and shape.

ICR batteries are DANGEROUS and have no business anywhere near a vaper. they belong in flashlights, which are far less demanding.

Efest are junk. They overrate their batteries, saying they can do more than they really can. and they use cells that don't pass first tier quality control.

Battery safety is hardly a "or whatever" topic

just trying to get the best possible protected battery for my mech mod thats in the mail looking for a good pair of 18650 and 18350 batterys thanks in advance :) will be running coils around .5 and up to 2.0

You had better do your own research on battery safety as it pertains to mechs. Don't rely on people throwing in their two cents. I'm not even going to tell you what I use. There are threads on this forum dedicated to battery safety. Read up and read up alot. It's important and I'm glad you are at least inquiring.
