Greetings; I got my first APV device on the weekend (Vamo V3), and I absolutely love it, the vaping quality is much better.

One of the batteries I purchased is an 18350 (an Efest IMR 'chemically safe' 800 mAh model), which I hoped to use regularly because of the smaller size. But I find that the battery time is so short that it is almost pointless using it; today, for example, I put in the fully-charged 18350 at 8:30 am, but I just got a 'low voltage' shutoff at 11:30 am. My use of my E-Cig is probably a little heavier than average -- I was a pack-a-day smoker -- but i'm very conscious about shutting off my Vamo when it's not in use (not sure if this makes a diff in terms of battery time).

Is 3 hours of battery time normal on an 800 mAh li-ion battery? My 650 mAh eGo tended to last well over half a day in between charges.

Thanks!

Regards
Glenn

It depends on what volts/watts you are running at and the ohms of the atty/carto/whatever you have attached but 3 hours is not out of the realm of possibility.

Greetings; That makes total sense...I've got a 1.8 ohm coil (a PT replacement head), and i'm running my APV at 9 watts. It's a Vamo btw, I've seen some ECF posts that seem to indicate that some APVs suck up power faster than others.

I run both the AW IMR and the Efest 18350's in my Natural mechanical with an RSST attached and only get on average of 3-4 hours of use. I would say with the Vamo your are getting about max out of it because of the regulation of the unit. It will shut down when the battery reaches a certain voltage cut-off. Have you tested your batteries. They should be 4.2v when fully charged. What are they when your Vamo shuts off? Maximum discharge on the 18350's is 2.5v. I run mine down to around 3.2v usually...

What atty are you using? What is the resistance of the atty and what wattage are you vaping at? How many ml of juice are you vaping in a day? These are all factors that can help identify your battery usage. Also you can get a good aw imr 18350 and see if you get longer vaping time with it, you can compare the old and new battries.

I typically use AW IMR 18350's in my Mini Provari. I use high resistance (2.5 - 3.0 ohm) cartomizers in cartotanks and get 5 - 6 hours use from the 700 mah batteries at 3.5v - 4.0v.

For a short period of time I added some new Efest IMR 18350's into my AW rotation. For the first couple weeks they compared to be equal in capacity, but after that battery time dropped down to 3 - 4 hours per charge. The Efests are now in a drawer.

My advice? Try a couple of AW 18350 IMR's.

Judging from his 2 posts he is vaping a Protank, (1.8Ω head) @ 9W on a Vamo V3... How exactly does the amount of liquid he consumes factor into battery usage? There is not really a noticeable difference between the Efest IMR's and the AW IMR's, (I currently use both and have not noticed a significant difference)...

Greetings; That's bang on Muzichead, I use an 1.8 ohm PT head (the clearo is actually a Davide Mini) on a Vamo V3 set to 9 watts. I'm vaping about 2.5 Mini tanks per day.

I had hoped to use 18350s due to the shorter length, but if 3 hours of use is in the ballpark -- and it sounds like it is -- then i'll probably stick with 18650s, unless I come across 18350s rated at higher than 800 mAh. I put up this thread because i'm just about to order a number of batteries -- I appreciate the replies, which have been very helpful.

I don't think you will be successful on the battery search. The AW IMR is 700mAh, Efest IMR is 800mAh, and the Efest protected is 900mAh. I think those are the only ones out there. I am not sure if you can use the protected battery in the Vamo, but I know for my mechanical's and RBA/RDA's it is not a good option... I usually carry a couple extra batteries in my back pocket for when I am out and about and have found it to be the best solution as I just like my APV's to be as small as possible and can't get that in 18650 mode with say an RSST on top... You might hit up RTD for your battery needs though. They have been my go to source for 2 years now.
