if it vents... not much you can do but watch the pretty flames shoot out of your mod.... if the wrappers are scratched and the battery case is exposed enuf to touch the inside of the mod, then you have a chance of auto fire and a possible vent senerio.
if the scratch is tiny and you can barely see the metal, a dab of fingernail polish on the scratch will re-insulate that area, if the wrapper is torn, a rewrap is required.... and this is assuming its being used in a mech mod....

If the battery is at the actual stage of venting, you're gonna know it and the best thing you can do is go away.

If you notice the battery starting to get hot, your mod starting to get hot, and you feel like trouble is coming... your options are drop it in salt water (because everyone has salt water handy) or drop it and go away. Please alert people that may be around you to go away.
