the drop on the PTs seems to vary a bit, i have some from TW that are really bad, one from janty thats ok, and 2 from heavens-gift are working correct too.
I measure the resistance of the wires at 0.5 ohms on a TW PT (could be 0.4 to 0.6).the drop on the PTs seems to vary a bit, i have some from TW that are really bad, one from janty thats ok, and 2 from heavens-gift are working correct too.
Maybe these new findings will result in special "real" 3.7V and 6V atomizers with higher resistance, that produce more vapor without losing taste. I would definitely buy some special 510/3.7V atomizers for my BB and Chameleon.Vanilla tastes significantly better on standard 510, that is the 3.1 volt, than on the KR8 battery with 3,7.
Spearmint tastes OK on the KR8, but I think I would prefer it on standard 510. Not much of a difference, though.
KML+Cappuchino tasted vastly different on 510 and KR8, and it was very good on both.
So actually, for me at least, those results are yet another reason not to get a mod. I think I prefer the 3.1v, although I sure will do some more testing. That is of course just my personal conclusion atm.
The KR808D-1 batteries that I tested came from V4L and I got them a couple of months ago. I am hesitant to say that all Kangers from all sources will perform this same way (but I hope they do). I know that vendors and Kanger mess with their recipes.....

Hey Scott,
I thought that V4L had just changed thier batteries recently?
I know I got a couple from there for my wife and they seem diff than one she got free with an order from V4L. I think they might be diff than Kangor, no?

I was thinking about it a bit more - the circuit is quite a bit more complex than just an FET as it is permits charging which couldn't be done with just an FET and contains whatever protection circuitry they chose to include. I'm guessing that its all these things together that add up to the half volt. It looks actually a bit of a lazy design on the pass through as the same board exactly is used as in the 510 batteries with the unnecessary voltage drop.
No, I never heard about SLB or L2 before. Maybe this brand names are not common in Germany and Europe. Do you know an european retailer, where I can get them?Have you tried the SLB 510 (L2 - clone) atties? They have "901 class" resistance and are probably pretty close to what you are looking for.
Thank you for the info! I had found some of this information after doing some hunting myself. However, my question is will the Kr8 batteries, with or without an adaptor, charge in a PCC device that is made for 510 batteries?
Thanks again!
The Expert 510 is the Boge/Dekang (the liquid folks) clone. The same manufacturer of most of the rechargeable disposables that are floating around. Don't know why but their abreviation is usually JKY and 'ECIS' is also a brand name for Boge/Dekang liquids.the ECIS Expert510 from Joye 510, DSE 801, DSE 901, J118, elekrtisch rauchen, e rauchen, e zigi, e-zigi - Home has a higher resistance, i read 2.8ohm opposed to the 2.2ohm my joye510 have. i had one for a little review i did
the J510 could be the SLB/JSB version, not sure about that. the different atomizers are on the site under Joye 510, DSE 801, DSE 901, J118, elekrtisch rauchen, e rauchen, e zigi, e-zigi - verdampfer, dse, 801,901, j118
*seems its about time to create our own usergroup from germany *GGG*
"KR808-Dx batteries do not have any internal charge circuitry, so hooking them up to a 5V supply (510 charger) will destroy the battery."
First time I have heard that.
And I doubt that you'll hear it again. I believe the poster made an error.. assuming that standard 510 chargers are like the ones that come with the disposables.
