Guys,,just want to share some topic here..till today still bit scared vaping while holding stuff after recent news bout the explosion battery,,ive read some post and heard that guy may used stack battery but the brand and model been used nobody can confirm.
Currently vaping on lvtube most of the time and the battery 18650 gave me doubt..espeacially after reading the link by one of our brother here who post regarding and explanation of explosive mod and to choose what type of quality prefered. So does that mean the battery supply regardless from lavatube or any mod supplier may still not consider safe?Im thinking of getting a good quality batt for my lvatube replacement?I saw this brand panasonic @ ebay but wonder if its suitable since its Higher output..Up to 10 amps even thou they indicate for vapers as well.Just type search on ebay.18650 IMR LI-ION FLASHLIGHT and VAPE BATTERY rechargeable lithium-Ion 3.7v

Read: That guy stacked his batteries. And the battery in question has always been stacked CR123s. If you want to talk about batteries exploding, this is not the 1st time it happened. Why get scared only after media sensationalization( Is there even such a word??)? You should have gotten afraid like years ago already. :D

Guidelines: Use the largest battery you can find in the market. Use a mod with vent holes. Use a battery that is protected. Use safe chemistry batteries. Do NOT, stacked batteries( do it @ your own risk!!)

Not too sure if the Panasonics can fit your LT though...

What about exploding iPhone...? There have been cases where iPhone batteries exploded/caught fire... How to explain? Bad luck...? I believe there are more iPhone users compared to vapers all over the world, so is vaping more dangerous than using iPhone...?

IMHO, as long as a device is used in the way it's meant to be, the risk is negligible, of course there is still risk, because we are human, we are not perfect, so anything that we create/invent, cannot be perfect too...

The standard warnings on batts are there for a reason.

things like..
1)Do not use old and new batts together < the reason is prolly because of 2 different level of charge will make the battery unstable in series. Which will in turn bloat and vent. << This includes new batts of different charges levels too.
2) DO NOT punture or use deformed batteries << DUH ,,, note that dropping ur devices MAY dent ur batteries causing weak spots. i believe u all have encountered battery leaking in some devices when u leave it in devices for too long and not use it, it happens too
3) DO NOT expose to open flames. < this is common sense. Which we prolly wont encounter when we vape.

As long as you do not abuse your batteries in any way, chances are you are quite safe.

just my :2c:
